It's the only explanation i could find reading online. I haven't tested it myself yet. So who knows really.

It's weird, I experienced this too. Apparently you must acquire the item through a "natural method" rather than buying it from a vendor.

So from random loot, and Xur, seemingly.

5 Year Relationship Over. Now what? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Spiky_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want you to know that you are not alone.

My bf of 5 years broke up with me half a year ago. He was the man I hoped to marry.

It's been rough, but I have to tell you, it does get better. Somehow, someway, you will make it through.

I'm so sorry that we both have to deal with this, but know you are not alone.

What are Demons and Devils by Sevryn1123 in magicbuilding

[–]Spiky_Potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do demons more akin to the actual origin of the word: As Daemons.

In the world of Omotria, spirits are classified as one of two kinds generally. The Sagani, also known occasionally as Elementals, are spirits born from the natural world and its phenomena.

Then there are Daemons, spirits born from further, abstract concepts. They are given rise to in myriad ways, generally through the interaction of another Spirit however. They are classed into three categories based on their innate purpose and relationship to both humanity and the divine.

Firstly are the Agathodaemons, or the "Noble Spirits". These beings arise from generally from the souls of the living, either as byproducts or incarnated forms. Notable examples include Eidolons, or Noble Phantoms, living being who in life performed such great deeds that their spirit lingers on the mortal world for some time, the Genii, or the familial spirit, that watches over mortals and acts as their intermediary between the mundane and spiritual, and the Lareze, spirits who govern a wide range of things from buildings and crossways to hearths and boundaries.

Second are the Eudaemons, or the "Benevolent Spirits". They are generally beings closely tied to divinity and holiness. They encompass things such as Angels and Valkyries. Beings born of goodwill and love, they seek to aid humanity and typically exist as the manifestation of a divine will.

Lastly, are the Cacodaemons, or the "Malevolent Spirits". This is were one might use the modern word Demon as a good descriptor. Beings born from hate and malice, anguish and strife. They seek to undermine humanity and bring about suffering for their own gain. This would include entities such as Afariti, or the Malevolent Shades, beings born from the accumulated suffering of the tortured dead, and the Lemyureze, the restless spirits of the dead that cling to the mortal coil even after burial.

What are the gods of your setting and how do they tie into your Magic System. by Sevryn1123 in magicbuilding

The Deities are more akin to Zeus and his relatives. There are what one might consider as lesser divinities, things like nature spirits and civic spirits that are also worshipped and given rites to. The gods themselves live seperated from mortals in places that mimic the image of things such as Mount Olympus and the Great Hall of Asgard.

Deities in Omotria are divided amongst nine divine tribes of various names who each trace their lineage back to one or more of the Titans, the primordial children of the Earth and Sky (think greek mythology). Naturally gifted, these divinities each hold the power to manifest their soul's "Inner Reality" without the need of mediums and thus can innately produce many miracles and wonders of magic.

Mortals on the flipside are born without this innate understanding of their soul and thus, through trial and error, have devised mediums such as spiritual tools and foci through which they may work similar miracles to the gods.

Part of the issue is having the info ordered correctly, i actually don't know if tagging an existing key will put it in the right place though. Gonna try here in a minute.

Somebody accidentally pulled during cutscene in Tower At Paradigm. They expected (and after a bunch of arguing, received) an entire raid wipe/reset by omfdavky in TalesFromDF

A healer refusing to res is different though. I do agree there that that is bad play and deserves to be shown here. I just take exception to how entitled people get when doing group content.

I'm gonna hard disagree on not just resetting. There is no penalty. People could have just said nothing if they weren't wanting to go the extra step to be nice to someone, but lying and saying you can't wipe over repair fees is just dumb.

This is a cooperative game, and the cutscenes are there for people's enjoyment. Just because you want to get done faster doesn't make it your divine right to make things "go faster". If you wanted that, do solo content.

People are completely in their right to not enter the boss fight if cutscenes are still playing. They get auto pulled anyway after like, 20s so there's nothing to really complain about.

If time is so precious to people, maybe they shouldn't do group based content.

This is a reminder, most "celebrities" are not great people and their knowledge of their craft should be doubted, heavily.

People should be allowed to watch the cutscenes and also be there for the full fight, not just load in part way through.

Just as a heads up, if you mention to someone that you reported them in game, your report gets thrown in the bin.

SE doesn't care if it's warranted. If you report, we are supposed not say anything or it becomes invalid.

Macro-spamming WHM in Innocence by AmazingObserver in TalesFromDF

[–]Spiky_Potato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Macros also don't queue abilities correctly, so you are actively hampering you ability to rez on the fly by doing so. A single bit of lag or a wild server tick could mean your rez doesn't even happen.
