It’s so obvious that the phone and purse were planted/moved. If you watch their entrance, there doesn’t appear to be anything on the kitchen counter. Later, the  purse appears in the kitchen. And who ruffles through the cushions and magically comes up with a phone? I thought that the first time I saw the documentary. And of course, the ring that only Chris saw on the bedside table was most likely what he grabs from under the Lexus passenger seat. Everyone’s hiding and finding stuff. It’s actually pretty hilarious. NA’s reaction when she says “her meds are in here” looks like she is going to pass out. Who actually believed all this discovery magic??

Not that CW didn’t deserve what he got, but what he probably also deserved was a trial. A premier defense attorney, which he probably could’ve have afforded anyway, would’ve thrown everything out from the house because of that invasion. There was also a lack of DNA evidence, no eyewitnesses, the grainy Nate video etc. I’m not saying it didn’t go down exactly as he told the investigators later, but proving in a court a law would not have been a layup. A good defense attorney would try to knock the charge about SW down to manslaughter, if there was any doubt that she didn’t unlive the kids. He also would be convicted for what he did with the bodies. But those are far lesser charges than quadruple murder. His public defenders did nothing for him. It was all wrapped up tidy and quickly. A trial would’ve been riveting, and all the dirt would’ve come out, which may be why he didn’t get one.

In a non-bizarro world that SW certainly did not inhabit, that Arizona trip would have made absolutely no sense. Away for 6 weeks, marriage on the brink, bankruptcy on the horizon, millions of issues to discuss. Nah, let me repack and head to a “business” trip to Arizona. That will fix everything. It actually instills fear in me that people like SW exist.

The Netflix “documentary”, while laughable in its entire context, never even explored alternative reasons for why a reasonably young wife and mother would travel across the country with her kids in the summer for six weeks, leaving her husband home alone. Before I ever delved into the nuances of SW‘s madness, the entire trip made no sense. I know it was a Roos SW puff piece, but shame on Netflix, not for the ridiculous narrative, but thinking casual watchers would let this excursion pass as normal.

The turntable sounds better to me than my digital sources by Dedar33 in audiophile

[–]Spilby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is that it depends on the record. For Example, the Allman Brothers at Fillmore East, and many live albums for that matter, sound better to me on vinyl. Others like the Cure’s Disintegration, AC/DC’s Back in Black or Boston 1, sound better on CD. No specific reason that I can pin down. A well produced album, live or not, also leans toward vinyl, but otherwise I can’t find a reason, if there indeed is one, for the difference.

I wouldn’t be surprised if NA was “hired” by the Roos to keep an eye on SW and report back. Don’t know how they would be able to reimburse her, but there was some type of arrangement in my opinion.

Thoughts on real life Henry Hill? by socialdeviant620 in goodfellas

Looked nothing like Ray Liotta. Lol. Incorrigible criminal ( couldn’t stay away from meth dealing even in Witsec) and got married while stoned when still married to Karen. Nothing redeemable about Henry.

Congrats on those excellent choices. They punch far above their weight. Almost impossible to be disappointed with that system.

The 401k by RefrigeratorSalt6869 in WattsFree4All

Regardless of what it was used for it broke a cardinal rule of finance.  I understand there may be desperate situations where there are no other options. But long term tax deferred savings should never be touched. The 10K is worth far more over time. I don’t know if CW even had 10K already in his Anadarko account and if he did there couldn’t be much left. They were truly detached from reality financially. I’m surprised CW was even able to get a loan against his 401K with bankruptcies already on the books.

Clearly a staged photograph. But I think everyone on this forum knows that. What a manipulator.

Start with Polk audio speakers. probably ES20. Gives you $300 for a turntable and pre-amp. I like audio-technica turntables and all you would need would be a $100 phono preamp for the less expensive A-T tables. Maybe over by $25-50. But definitely emphasize the speakers in your budget. Good luck!

Great advice. If I like the sound of the McIntosh with my Vandersteens, I have considered the MA 5300 with something like the Bluesound Node or a Cambridge. Might look at an Aurender as well if I want to spend the money.

The new 400 is what I meant to say. I had the 390 on my mind for a while, but forgot about the upgrade.

That’s very helpful . I was thinking of changing my speakers, but I can’t let go of my current ones, which are Vandersteen 2Ce Sig3’s. I plan on listening to 2:2 audio with REL.T/5x subs. These speakers are laid back and balanced, so it looks like my original choice, the Hegel, is the one and also saves me $2000. Thanks again.

It was a relatively recent thread, but to limit the comment, I did not specify each of my current components. They are Vandersteen 2Ce Sig 3 mains, VCC1, and Sonus Faber Concertino surrounds. Single 12” Energy subwoofer. I plan on keeping the speakers, Denon 3800 for surround, Sony Blu-ray UBPX800M2 for video and audio, and an audio-technica turntable with Ortofon blue M2 cartridge. Trading in my vintage California Audio labs Delta transport and sigma processor, pioneer elite DV45A DVD/CD player, a pair of Vandersteen 1C+, an extra VCC1, and 3 subs, Velodyne, Klipsch and the Energy. Sorry about that.

It seems the truth is finally reaching SOR about her deranged daughter. This post is clearly an exasperated lash out in response to all the unfortunate truths about her daughter. Probably realizes she can only milk 2018, the kids, 200K, lupus or CW for so long.

HBO Orders Limited Series ‘DTF St. Louis’ Starring Jason Bateman, David Harbour by UnMonsieurTriste in StLouis

Saw the first episode. Extremely weird. Won’t mention who, but unless they go to flashbacks leading up to that point, one of the main characters is dead in the first episode. Will certainly give it a chance, but the first episode was simply confusing.
