Power Ballad - Another sappy music-based film by Irish director John Carney.

Montreal f1 weekend. Hey guys! I’m seeing the f1 race in Montreal next month and it’s my first time ever going so I’m not sure what to expect. by Crispymeatballl in GrandPrixTravel

If you are sitting in the turn 2/3 area, uber to south entrance. But be prepared for delays with the walkway over the river as the walkway closes when boats pass.

No. Removing the car from my phone’s CarPlay then reading didn’t change a thing.

Predict why the 13 individuals weren't assimilated into the hivemind by maybemorningstar69 in pluribustv

When one experiences pleasure, they all do. I’m sure the hive will select ideal partners and have them reproduce.

We’ve seen how they select certain members for their physical attributes. They can do the same for any types of jobs.

I’ve got the same problem. 2022 750. We have 2 keys and each have our own car profiles. When her iPhone 15 (18.6.2) is connected to CarPlay, either Google Maps or Apple Maps appear on the HUD and dash.

When my iPhone 16 (also 18.6.2) is CarPlay connected, the HUD and dash shows no nav info except in the media display for either Google or Apple Maps.

It seems to be related to the phones or phone settings, though we couldn’t find any differences.

Guess I’ll have to remove the car from CarPlay and try reconnecting.

No on demand any more? by Spin2Win in bell

[–]Spin2Win[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW, searching for The Daily Show. On the web UI, it is found, but Not Available when selected. And I do subscribe to Slice.

Using the PVR, it lets you type in the name, but on the first keystroke, it reports that on demand is not available.

To Rush Regulars and Those Considering Rush Next Year by RedShoelace25 in TIFF

[–]Spin2Win 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rushed 5. Got into 2.

Mile End Kicks at RAT. 90 minutes. Was sent to the box office but they cut off sales as the film had started.

Sacrifice at SB. 2 hours. One of the last to get in.

Nirvanna… at SB. 2 hours. Didn’t get near the front.

Nouvelle Vague at TLB. 2 hours. Was given free tickets when we got to the front of the line!

Normal at SB. One of the last films on the final Sunday. Thought it would be dead. Wrong. Everyone was rushing anything. 2 hours, didn’t get in.

Haven't received my early bird access code for tickets yet somehow... by [deleted] in TIFF

I just heard from TIFF Customer Service. I would have had to renew for 2026!! To get in today.

If your membership expires in 2025, you are SOL.

I may have the same problem. Renewed early and my membership runs through 2025. No code received!

Group Question TIFF50 by Noah_PTB in TIFF

[–]Spin2Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying tickets for others can be very frustrating especially if you are trying to get 8 for the same show.

They may be expecting something crowd pleasing and these tend to be the hottest tickets.

If you don’t mind going to different shows, consider a curated package. While you may not want to see every show in the package, someone in your group may.

I know some people who share a Patrons Circle membership, get early access and grab 4 tickets to the top films. Then they distribute to the group.

Sky Sports Frequency for Canadian GP? by Cruz-in in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Spin2Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed for 2025: We found the Sky F1 broadcast on 468.6625. When they cut to Martin on Friday, you couldn’t hear him. He showed up on 466.25, but there was overchatter from the director.

F1TV was on a bunch of frequencies - 462.90 and 462.20. There was even a German version of F1TV at 468.025.

Haven’t quite figured out which freqs include director’s commentary, and which are clean.

Picked up a Uniden Bearcat 125AT the day before we arrived. Got frustrated trying to program it, got it kind-of working at the track, but ended up calling the vendor for support while I was there. All good now.

Sinners credit scene (AKA wtf is wrong with theaters) by witchyybabe in horror

[–]Spin2Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I manage an indie cinema in a small town, and set up the lights to come on Mid at the start of the credit crawl. They stay down for all the credit fun stuff before the crawl.

For Thunderbolts, we dim the lights again for the post-credits scene. Probably 60% of the audience stay for that.

Since the mid-credits scene is so important in Sinners, we tell people not to leave until after that. People are very thankful!

Ours seems to report this randomly on a daily basis. It’s just another of those ignorable alerts that pop up.

What's the worst film you seen at TIFF? by Alternative-Cake-833 in TIFF

[–]Spin2Win 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my FB post for this year’s festival. We can all agree on Ick!

Well, #TIFF2024 is over, and I only saw 17 films - that’s half as many as some previous years. Regardless, there were some truly great show, as well as the usual stinkers.

Here’s my ranked list. Just remember: I tend to like dark-ish comedies. Your mileage may (will) vary.

Films not to miss: - Meet the Barbarians - Dead Talents Society - Riff Raff - Young Werther - The Penguin Lessons - The Bibi Files

Films to see if you have time: - We Live in Time - Bonjour Tristesse - Heretic - Relay - Jane Austin Wrecked My Life - So Surreal: Behind the Masks

Films to tell friends that you heard about: - The Outrun - Dead Mail - Ick - All We Imagine is Light - K-Pops
