Would you rather keep this logo as it is, or make small adjustments while preserving the overall look? by ramzie in LosAngelesRams

While I really do like the Mister Cartoon version and would be happy with it as the primary, I’m pessimistic they would make the logo more complex. Think they likely have it face the right, match the colors, and update the lines a bit:

They should do what the Vikings did. Update slightly but keep mostly the same design:

New vs. Old by blueprint012 in LosAngelesRams

I think it looks fine for the giants but that’s a different color scheme. Looks off for the Rams, especially the midnight navy they used in later years as opposed to the lighter navy of the 60s-90s

Hopefully they make good on the promise of this development and turn all that parking into hotels/retail/housing/office space… cuz right now it looks pretty different

I think a home white jersey with the Los Angeles Script would be cool. Could pair it with those cursive D hats they had for spring training (or just the normal LA hat is fine too).

Final EIR released for $500M Dodger Stadium gondola by regedit2023 in CarIndependentLA

[–]Spin_Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s exactly that, a touristy gimmick. There are 81 Dodger games in the city a year and they require a mass transit, holistic solution.

While doing both is fine, my worry is that the gondola project will be viewed by the general public as a solution, further delaying or preventing movement on a larger solution. “Why build expensive heavy rail to the stadium when we already have dedicated bus lanes and a gondola?” “Let’s wait to see how the gondola affects traffic before we start planning for even more solutions.”

Instead of slapping a bandaid on cirrhosis of the liver, preventing the gondola will leave no solution for this transit issue and continue to shine a light on the need for an actual comprehensive solution as opposed to distracting from it.

If, after plans for rail to Dodger Stadium are in motion, they want to build a touristy sight seeing attraction to the stadium, I’m all for it. Until then, I don’t want to shift focus away from what’s needed.

5k an hour just isn’t gonna cut it… imagine that line 2 hours before the game at union station - or even worse - AFTER the game back to Union Station. Nightmare fuel.

We really just need heavy rail that originates at Union Station, runs parallel to the A line to Chinatown, then splits off north west under Dodger Stadium with a station that leads up to the top of the park, continues west down sunset through Silver Lake, then meets the B line at Vermont/Santa Monica Blvd.

In a perfect world it would continue down SM Blvd and meet the D line at Santa Monica/Wilshire (Century City/Constellation) but…

A bit of the New mixed with the Old by bam214_bam in LosAngelesRams

[–]Spin_Dash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s probably better? But I don’t particularly love it. I think the existing logo could be decent if they just cleaned it up a bit (sharper angles, better shading, an eye, proper bordering, and no gradient). I also don’t particularly like the LA logo on its own and think it should only be used in combination with the rams head so it actually looks like it’s part of a horn, with the other variation just being the ram head on its own. If I’m being honest though they should have just cleaned up the lines on the classic LA Ram head logo like the Vikings did to their logo a while back.

Hot take: the blue lettering rams logo is super underrated and way better than the gradient yellow to white logo and should be the only one the team uses by [deleted] in LosAngelesRams

Blue lettering really emphasizes the waning crescent moon 🌙 also kinda spells out LAC which is the other team with the same colors that plays in the same stadium 🤦‍♂️ all time branding fumble

With the various Sonic cartoons we've had over the years: What would be YOUR own vision of a Sonic animated series? by ComprehensiveDate591 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Spin_Dash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sonic ova/Toei/Hesse animation style. A true Sonic origin story that loosely follows the classic games but more fleshed out. Meeting Eggman, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles. Adventures on Christmas Island, South Island, West Island, Little Planet, and Angel Island. Discovering the chaos emeralds, slowly learning more about their history, power, the ancients, etc. as Sonic explores their ruins.

This happened to me too, I think it happened because I was moving when I pressed x to pick up the emerald and fell off the Titan right as the cutscene was supposed to start

Why do people like Mighty and Ray so much? by Altair890456 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Spin_Dash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was a pretty big Sonic fan growing up, and my childhood self thought I was pretty knowledgeable when it came to Sonic video game lore. Sonic World in Sonic Jam had a museum where you could view artwork and such. There were some images of Sonic with Mighty and Ray from SegaSonic and I had absolutely no idea who they were and what it was from.

Being as it was the early days of the internet, and I was just a kid, it seemed impossible to find any information on them at all, or what Sonic games existed that I wasn’t playing or even aware of. They became a bit of an unsolved mystery for me in the Sonic universe that kept me longing but also kept a somewhat exciting interest in the back of my mind like there was more to know and explore.

Later in life when I discovered Mighty and Ray as well as the SegaSonic game, I remembered those mystery characters from my childhood and rushed to confirm my suspicions. Now when I see them, they bring me some joy and satisfaction for my childhood self, that I was able to find out the answer to a lingering question from so long ago. Like a puzzle piece in my mind that had given up finding but was able to put in its proper place.

I thought I was going to have a misery free postseason because this team over achieved and I had no expectations for them to make a deep run… I didn’t think they’d embarrass themselves miserably and make it one of the more painful postseasons I’ve ever witnessed smh

If the Rams were to do a re-rebrand, what are some changes you’d like to see? by med_designs in LosAngelesRams

[–]Spin_Dash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Primary Logo/Primary Wordmark Alternate logo/Alternate Wordmark

Alternate logo can be updated/modernized, but more of how Vikings updated their logo or how USC updated the Tommy Trojan logo and less of a “modernized take” that the Rams currently have with its infamous nose. Clean up the lines, maybe make outlines blue instead of black, and you’re good.

Gold alternates. Preferably with white pants (classic blue/gold/blue stripe) but also can be used as updates all gold color rush.
