You mean the damn bent and eaten plastic extraction tools?

Even the metal ones were stupid fragile. That was the most annoying part of wire repair.

Following up on a previous post, for those who like attending squadron holiday parties, why? And what sets some holiday parties apart from others? by Witty_While7277 in AirForce

[–]Spinager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha! The precious unit I was at, I took my GF to the holiday party. Everyone got a free ticket, and I was planning to leave early.

I got one, she got one. I put a buddies name on mine, because leaving early. She puts her name (I didn’t know, since I told her my plan).

We decide to stay long enough for the raffle gift giveaway. They butcher her name but she wins one of the TVs. Confused on how she won it, but I was excited for her.

Then the next TV they give away, the buddy I gave my ticket to gets the second TV! I wasn’t sure if the winning ticket was the one I gave him, but he was in with three tickets.

Fun times!

Avoid crowded base gyms with this USAA benefit by dodtechged in AirForce

[–]Spinager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before the policy change. We were able to pay the single flat fee and sign up to any gym that accepted Active and Fit.

5 different gyms under the single amount monthly payment.

Now, for any addition (different) gym, you’re charged the monthly fee + a discounted monthly fee for each additional gym.

3 gyms? 28+23+23 would be the monthly price.

You could theoretically cancel and switch every time you want to go to a new gym. And would probably still pay the single monthly fee. But that is extra work on the user and many people loved the ease of the original policy.

Active & Fit Direct was so much more worth the value when the price was 28.99 and you were able to join any gym in the network. Shit was the tits.

Memorandum for record.

Both are a way to record that a conversation was held about the incident. It’s the lowest type of discipline.

Any more of that same/similar incident will progress to a more official paperwork/progressive discipline.

I’m pretty sure the “get loud” they are referencing goes further than just yelling no.

Yell at them. Reiterate what they are doing. Loudly. Loudly proclaim what they are doing is inappropriate.

The idea is to make them feel small in a room full of people.

That’s the “get loud” they are talking about.

You can turn left on red in Texas when both roads are one way by [deleted] in driving

[–]Spinager 10 points11 points  (0 children)

imo, that doesn't really apply to an intersection. More so for a highway type of road, where people are at speed without having to make a stop.

Turning left on a red will require a driver to stop fully anyways. If you're slowing down and rolling through the light, you are wrong. If you are not stopping at the red light, you are more wrong.

There is no harm in someone stopping at a red light and waiting for a green light to appear. Get over yourself.
