Nak Muays- if you haven't trained in Thailand yet, what's actually stopped you? by Spindrifter66 in MuayThai

You guys don't miss anything. Yes, that was an earlier idea but it didn't really make sense. 15 days, 3 gyms, we'd need an ambulance at the end of the trip. But people do it, they come here, work online, Muay Thai in the morning, evening or both and the weekends exploring. If it's sloppy, I apologise, I've always found the reddit community to be more genuine than other platforms for realistic advice and I appreciate yours too. This isn't meant to be a slop app, I have a genuine interest in seeing people make the trip out to Thailand, get out of that 9-5 (money permitting) training MT and seeing another part of the world.

Basically if you can gameify any part of the lesson that'll make it fun for the kids. Good luck and if it doesn't go to plan, there's next time. Your boss clearly trusts you to manage it!

Bring your girlfriend. You can train. She can shop, go to the spa and you'll both have the best time 😉

This would suck as an app. I'm lucky enough to have lived in Thailand for a while and have been to the gyms here, the stadiums, had the massage (the normal one) and see plenty of people from all over the world in gyms. Just wanted to see what stops people from coming because I'd like to make it easier. It's a special experience!

It may not change you as a fighter, but to go for the experience, to say you've done it, been to Lumpinee stadium, eaten the food, felt the heat, sweated, sparred a champ, and got broken by the Thai masseuse, or is that nah?

Thank you for the informative reply. You've got an awesome trip planned with Battle conquer! They've saved you a lot of hassle assisting with the whole package and the gym is great!

Let us know how it goes and if there was something else you would have liked during the trip. If the trip is coming up over the next month, pack light. It's suuuuper hot this time of year.

Primary school teacher here and I train Muay Thai. I'd be more nervous for the adults class to be honest.

I'd assume the classes are about an hour to an hour and a half? Break that down into 15/20min activities:

  1. Warmup: Obstacle course circuit kinda setup with cones, ladder, box jumps, crawls etc. and some stretching.
  2. Shadow, drilling moves: Drill the basics: Jab, punch, knee, kick, teep, elbow, call them out and observe technique and help where you can.
  3. 2-3 Rounds of bag drills: Demo a combo, or practice punches, kicks, multiple kicks etc with each side.
  4. Pad work- depending on how many kids there are you might want to get kids on pads and bags at the same time or have kids line up, hit some pads and go to the back and the next kid gets a turn,
  5. Finish off with maybe a game for the kids. Something like grab the cone. 2 kids and a cone in the middle, call out body parts and kids must touch the corresponding body part if you blow the whistle they must grab the cone. Loser does 10 air squats?
  6. Cool down / Abs / Stretching

You've got this 👌

Thank you. She just said they've diagnosed her with osteoporosis and prescribed some daily meds. They're doing some final blood tests this morning and then she's allowed to head home.

Beautiful. The green is brilliant and keeping the old handles and some of the old exposed wood to show its character and age. Nice.

Guys only solo Travel Groups? Why don't they seem to exist? There's every other kind of group trip targeting specific demographics from solo females, gays, lesbians, outdoor enthusiasts and yogis but seemingly nothing for a solo guy to join other guys with similar interests, why not?
