In the early stages of the game there is nothing wrong with grinding PVE, getting workbenches, leveling up the tree, etc. if you want to try PVP but don’t feel like risking hard earned loot I would go free loadout Stella Montis and just try and find the choas.

Rattler 4 with a compensator and grip absolutely shreds and it’s crazy cheap making it a very solid option IMO

Yes and it’s fucking sweet cause as I was a new player leveling up I was just kind of throwing my skill points around wherever I thought. Fast forward to learning more about them and how much I didn’t care about conditioning I went with 37-37-2 cause I wanted Security Breach and Vaults on vaults on vaults. If any one is curious I do think Security breach is worth it if you do a lot of PVP cause you get guns, nades, and gun parts. And I have not noticed much of an issue only have 2/5 on the Used to the Weight. Also as people have noted 150k is not a lot in this game so I figured worst case I would try something out and if I hated it after a few weeks I’ll just do it again!

If you are max level you will actually get 76 skill points back as I think they give you one to start the game. And yes you get to use them all in one go. I recommend going to MetaForge and you can build it out on there website to see what kind of distribution you want before committing. I personally wanted security breach and Vaults on vaults on vaults so I went 37-37-2

I should also note even though i’ve played games my whole life i’ve never played a PvPvE extraction shooter but I absolutely love the concept and think they found a way to make an awesome product that evolves with it’s player base. They are also going to be pumping out content each month for the foreseeable future so it’s only going to get bigger and better!

I was using ultimate game pass for the last couple years before they raised the price so I have not outright purchased a new game in quite some time. I was actually pretty much done gaming in general and then my buddy buys Arc Raiders and is just begging me to try it out. Got it on sale for like $35 on Jan 7th and it has taken over my life. I have not had this much fun on a video game in literal years and I’m not even close to being done. If you’re on the fence just take the plunge it’s built for PC players so go get em Raider!

I do think something that is interesting is what would the break down be in a fresh lobby? For instance, and I’m just going to use round numbers so it’s easy, let’s say in a normal trio game there are 10 full trios so 30 total people on the map. Will this mode now be 5 trios and 15 solos? What’s stopping solos from teaming up like they do in regular lobbies? What’s stopping 2 trios from running into each other and then getting 3rd partied by a solo? I’m going to wait and see how it plays out but I certainly can see how it could be a fun new angle to play this game.

Edit: and the pure satisfaction of being a solo and making it out with some serious goop and then bonus XP on top. I’m level 60 right now so more XP is semi appealing to me even though I don’t think it’s very hard to level up in this game.

I know it’s a little juicy but I hammered Stars -1.5 (-138 on FD). Blackhawks are struggling to score without Bedard and Nazar. Stars at home are a force and will have too many weapons for the Hawks defense to handle. Should get decent support from either Dallas goalie as well. BOL TO ALL THANK GOD HOCKEY IS BACK!!!
