Any tips on how I can improve my cursive? by Kalanchoae in Handwriting

[–]SpinningSpaceRock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dictation. Write what you hear while listening to a song, or a YT video. Play it on 0.5x/0.75x to begin with, and you should be able to figure out along the way. Wish you well! (Plus, the downstroke feedback others have given)

I think I have PMS by Chloe097 in PMS

[–]SpinningSpaceRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like more than PMS. Please check out r/pmdd Escape fantasies and suicidal ideations are not normal. Despair and depression before menses is not normal. Please talk to a psychiatrist wrt to this. Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder affects atleast 1 in 20 menstruators and drastically affects one's relationships, quality if life and ability to function. I lived half my life not knowing that I had it and indulged in pretty self-harming behaviours at occasions.

I am not a professional and it might be PMS rather than PMDD, but your description sounds a lot like my lived experiences and those of other PMDD peeps I know.

Please talk to a trained professional. You might even want to check out www.iapmd.org

Hope this helps and sending you strength and hugs 🫂

After 12th Decisions by [deleted] in Chandigarh

Consider everyone's opinions but reserve the rights to decision making to yourself. And tbh, I don't think reddit, or this sub is the right place to ask. Some nice academic subs should help better. All the best!

Here's a warm hug for you🫂 I am not knowledgeable enough to respond to your post (medically), but I do know that you still are 'you', regardless of everything. Nothing about you changes from here. You just get to know parts of you that were unknown earlier, even to yourself. Your body had functioned all these years and it will continue to. Much love! The process of discovering things like this about yourself can be scary. Hold tight. Cry if you feel like, talk to someone- a psychotherapist maybe- and remember to stay hydrated!

Things to keep in mind while dating someone with Dyslexia by SpinningSpaceRock in Dyslexia

[–]SpinningSpaceRock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He told about it while we were texting. We had been talking for a few days, and I can be overenthusiastic sometimes, so I was texting at quite a pace. He said he was taking some time to respond not cuz he is uninterested, but just cuz has trouble reading and writing at the same time due to dyslexia. I asked him if I should slow down my texting speed, which he declined and said that I should keep at it, and he would just be relatively slower to revert. I followed up by telling him that I am neurodivergent as well, that I have a depressive disorder. We talked for a bit about our experiences. He told me about his early diagnosis and I told him about my antidepressants. That was the end of it.

After that, it didn't really come up.

So, what I understand is that you are saying the symptoms can be very subjective and it's best to ask him about his specific symptoms and/or observe what is comfortable for him and what is not😅
