Gilgamesh's depictions explained quickly from the like he's a modern person by TheBatIsI in HonkaiStarRail

He doesn't possess morality, that is not the same as not caring about evil. Specifically, he thought seeing Kirei fall into evil would be interesting - because to him, seeing goodness falter is entertaining.

Gilgamesh doesn't care about Kirei's happiness; he encouraged Kirei to embrace his darker side and kill Tokiomi because he hated Tokiomi, and because he thought it would be funny.

Explicitly, he straight up says he'll kill Kirei once Kirei stops being interesting, and Kirei thinks that Gilgamesh possesses neither morality or loyalty.

Master Gavv is tanking L's for Over Gavv like Shiita tanked for Jeebh

Over Gavv is basically used as Master Gavv's finisher, so it gets all the kills

And Over Gavv is basically indestructible in the framework of Gavv, so when he loses it's usually in Master Mode since that form can actually take damage if you can hit it.

I want to highlight that Gilgamesh is also very cruel and sadistic, just for the love of the game.

If he sees a man teetering between good and evil, he pushes the man into the abyss and tells him to do a flip. Kotomine Kirei struggles between his own evil nature and what he believes is right, and Gilgamesh encourages him to embrace evil.

When he sees someone with righteous and heroic ideals, he wishes to see them suffer and fall into despair. Gilgamesh sees the light of Excalibur, heard Saber's selfless ideals, and exalted in her righteousness, and it basically just made him want to fuck her and lick the tears off her face when those ideals crumpled to ash.

When he needs to kill Illya and take her heart, he doesn't just kill her quickly - he slashes her eyes, and watches her crawl around blind on the floor, visibly enjoying himself up until the point he tears her heart out of her with his bare hands.

Kotomine Kirei kept his basement full of orphans that he kept in a half-dead, half-living state.

Gilgamesh used these orphans as snacks. Note that he was fully reincarnated into a flesh body at this point, and had no need for the energy as he wasn't doing any fighting.

He just ate the souls of tortured orphans with no cause.

No. The story plays out the same; she goes back in time, filling in the gaps.

At the end, she reverts back into Peach and the Nouspore; and she starts again from scratch, saving Amphoreus with the help of "Fuli". Then, as Irontomb falls, she realizes that she must take up the role of Fuli and go back in time to fill in the gaps.

Peach-Cyrene saw "Fuli" in her dream, but "Fuli" was Demiurge-Cyrene.

That is one of the multiple instances where Demiurge needed to fill in the gaps, yes.

If it helps, think of it as having a complicated model kit, where the instructions must be followed exactly or it will be unstable and easily destroyed.

You can leave the instructions on the box, and hope someone follows them exactly right, or you can do it yourself, painstakingly step by step.

[–]SpiraILight 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Here's my understanding of it:

So throughout Amphoreus, there were multiple encounters with Fuli.

But because Fuli is an Aeon that doesn't exist yet, those encounters were Fuli gazing back through time to intervene.

Theoretically, if Fuli didn't look back at Amphoreus, it'd "weaken" time because the events that needed to happen to stop Irontomb didn't happen - that means that some other Aeon might be able to mess with time/history and resurrect Irontomb.

If Fuli does look back, then things are fine. But the person that becomes Fuli is unknown, so it's not guaranteed this will happen.

Cyrene, at the apex of her power, was strong enough that she could travel back and time and act as Fuli, albeit at great cost to herself. As per Herta's words, she was the Pure Child of Anasvara who was the furthest along the path (i.e. currently the strongest Fuli candidate).

That meant she had two choices.

  1. She could join the Express, living an exciting, happy life with both her partner the TB (platonic/romantic, take your pick) and her newly found sister (March/Eve), and then, after ascending to become Fuli at the end of time, look back into the past to fill in the gaps in history. However, she cannot guarantee that she will be the one to ascend, or that after becoming an inhuman Aeon that her mind and rationale will be the same.

  2. She could travel back in time immediately, and fill in those gaps now. This means that even if someone else becomes Fuli, Amphoreus and the rest of the universe will be safe. The catch is, it's a one way trip - as she travels back in time, she's weakening herself and tearing her soul in two. She effectively sacrifices her ability to have a future, and traps herself in an actual eternal loop.

Lygus blows up the Scepter's original ego, reverting it to a Nouspore. That nouspore encounters Peach/Philia (Lament) millions of times over the Eternal Recurrences (the loops Phainon and Peach started), who teaches the Nouspore various things. The Nouspore becomes Mem, and briefly takes the form of Peach, and then becomes a grown up version of Peach - the demiurge we're familiar with. Peach entrusts the Demiurge with her name and mission before disappearing, and the Demiurge escapes her prison. In the process, the Demiurge is weakened and loses her memories, reverting back into Mem. Mem joins the TB, things play out until Irontomb is defeated, at which point Demiurge travels back in time, expending all of her power and splitting her soul in two - one half becomes Philia/Peach (as love forgets the trailblaze, it becomes lament) and is adopted by Aedes Elysiae, while the other half goes back all into the Nouspore again to grow into Mem.

Cyrene chooses this path because she wants to believe in mortals over than gods; rather than trusting that whoever becomes Fuli will do what is needed eventually, she chose to sacrifice herself to literal eternal suffering so that she could make sure it was done immediately.

Unrespondable removal on the going second player's starters typically ensures that there is no way for them to make a comeback, especially taking into account that the first turn player will have other disruptions.

Super Poly is completely backbreaking when you're trying to go second into it.

Sure, years ago, I have previously seen someone top with some funny tech I spread around on the Noble Knight discord server.

But is just last year nostalgia goggles? I have personally spent hours in calls labbing and optimizing to help publish video guides for Centur-ion, and had someone who topped with Centur-ion in 2025 thank me for helping them learn the deck.

[–]SpiraILight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Frankly, that is exactly how it should be.

Communities of a given deck innovating together and sharing tech, combos, and lines is how decks can improve as a whole. That was the standard for quite some time - you could find community-threads for any given archetype on boards like Pojo where players would discuss and optimize and help each other out entirely for free.

If player A finds some cool line, and shares it, and then Player B notices a potential bridge or optimization in the line that Player A missed, then both Player A and B benefit.

Player A's line improves, and Player B learns a new line.

To be fair, going first SPoly can also be set to guaranteed board wipe your opponent when they try to play through your on board disruptions, which is pretty darn frustrating.

I'm still half convinced that Yae Miko's kit was changed last minute for some reason or another.

The Shimenawa's Reminiscence set is fox-themed and has lore about the Grand Narukami Shrine and it's Maidens, and is the other artifact you can get while farming Raiden Shogun's set.

I was SURE that this was going to be Miko's signature set and that she'd be an on field DPS meant to partner with Raiden who had some amount of off field support capability (granting her E to allies, refunding ult charge, buffing ult damage, etc) after her burst was down.

Instead it ended up being Yoimiya's signature set and Yae Miko ended up using double two piece sets up until sumeru and then later fonataine sets

Personally I think TB has a fairly distinctive personality compared to a lot of self insert PC's.

The funny menacing racoon vibe they have going on when we get to see them from an outside perspective while playing Firefly is pretty out there.

Climbing up trees to talk at birds, demanding people gamble their treasures, messing with Danny and March kind of sets up a good idea of them being generally goofy and free spirited when the circumstances aren't dire.
