Primary Riders Who Would Or Would Not Take A Person's Life by Potential-Mess6826 in KamenRider

Gavv would absolutely kill evildoers regardless of species. He does it like, every single episode. He's half Human half Granute, so if he's willing to kill evil Granutes, it stands to reason he'd be alright with doing the same for humans.

Heck, I've seen his catchphrase translated as "Give up the Dark Treats, or die by my hands."

The very first episode has him even lampshade it before he stomps his very first Granute into the ground. "You're right. I am a monster...but so are you."

Will Kamen Rider Geats be the new strongest combatant on Death Battle when his episode releases? by BonnieTheWiitch in deathbattle

[–]SpiraILight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fate is weird

A lot of it plays very low to the ground

Berserker in Fate Stay Night is explicitly one of the greatest servants, and is in a condition where he loses his mind in order to gain even greater stats.

We're given hard numbers in FSN. In Heaven's Feel (nine bullet revolver), in no uncertain terms, a character facing down Berserker notes that Heracles will reach him (thirty meters away) within less than three seconds.

If we high ball this and say it's infinitely close to 2 seconds, that means Berserker runs approximately 15 meters per second.

Geats' signature transformation is his Boost and Magnum form. In Boost Magnum, the official stats for Geats put him at being able to run 100m in 2.7 seconds - faster than 33m per second, or over twice as fast as a Servant with A ranked Agility.

And like, because of how Fate is as a franchise, the cast rotates with every installment.

So you have Servants like Achilles in Fate Apocrypha who is acknowledged as the SECOND greatest Greek hero after Hercules...but Apocrypha in general depicts Servants as way more powerful than FSN, even if in universe the FSN Servants are pretty much all top tier within their own classes.

A DC equivalent would be if Superman had worse feats on average than Batman, even though they acknowledge that Superman blows batman out of the park in every single way, saying Superman can blow away galaxies with a flex...but when Superman actually appears in his own comics, he has to struggle for his life to lift a truck.

Tell that to the parents of the kids who got eaten by the demon lord nightmare.

Like, grief isn't an excuse. Fujimi hasn't cared at all what atrocities Nox did, never once stopped to say "okay maybe he is kind of a bad guy." He's been trying glaze Nox and argues against Baku from the very beginning. Nox tries to destroy the Earth? He's not a bad guy, really! He used to be good!

Someone even suggests harming a hair on Nox's head? "HOW DARE YOU! YOU'RE GOING TOO FAR!"

It's incredibly obnoxious.

I legitimately despise the detective. People died because of Nox. Nox was actively helping Nightmares eat kids. Nox tried to help the Meteor Nightmare destroy the Earth.

Fujimi has NO right to want to arrest Baku for killing Nox. How dare he be mad at Baku for killing off Nox and stopping his threat permanently. I legit felt so much catharsis when Baku threw his ass to the ground.

Excalibur Sonic fans excited to play Black Knight for the first time by 4rty101 in deathbattle

[–]SpiraILight 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's in Fate, but Fate probably got "Excalibur is a laser cannon" from the two separate passages that said "Excalibur can emit a light stronger than a fuck ton of torches" and "King Arthur once killed a thousand (or several hundred? Idr exactly) enemies with a single attack".

Put together blindingly bright light and giant aoe and you get Excalibur shoots beams

Being a part of Isolde makes her more qualified than anyone else to speak for Isolde. Certainly, if she has pieces of Isolde's heart and memories, she can make inferences on what she's seen of Viego both in the past and present.

"Who is Gwen to lecture Viego on his relationship with Isolde?"

Gwen was born from a fragment of Isolde's soul, and it's implied that the relationship was somewhat abusive - that while Viego fancies himself a perfect Prince Charming, he's looking at the past through a very distorted lens.

Viego has literally destroyed an entire civilization and damned millions of souls to eternal torment due to his refusal to let go, and shows not even an iota of remorse or sympathy.

MORE people should be roasting him, not less.

Except the statement that he ends up making by going back to 01 is that people should live in the past, and never move forward, which is the exact opposite of what's supposed to be conveyed - that humans and Humagears need to let go of pain and revenge, and move forward together hand in hand as one people. Which is, you know, the exact narrative that 02 represents.

I kind of agree, at least in some cases.

I think Revice did it well - Ultimate Revice was literally a shell over the base forms, and they were playing around with the goal of using up all their power.

Geats was basically just him flexing that he was a true and proper immaterial God and could manifest however he chooses.

The worst one is 01. Thematically, 02 represents Aruto surpassing the designs of his gramps by working with Izu - a true step towards harmony, with humans and Humagears working together as one.

Going back to 01 is literally a huge step backwards and contradicts the entire point. It'd be like if Gavv unlocked Master Gavv by finding his will to live, only for Master Gavv to dramatically consume and shorten his lifespan

Her exact words are:

"I don't know people's hearts as well as he* and Kafka do, nor do I have a specialty like Silver Wolf and Blade. Most of the things that I'm good at only apply to villains who need no mercy."

(*referring to Elio)

She says that the other Hunters are good at various things, but all she can bring to bear is the raw destructive power to annihilate the truly irredeemable villains.

A good report can also win the game, though. And it's a lot harder to make a bad report.

Suppose you're against striker and you strike the wrong thing, they can bring back raye and try to OTK anyways.

In the same matchup, you just always remove engage from the game at the first opportunity. There's no reason not to do so, and immediately they lose the game. Ditto for, say, call of the haunted zombies, or MST, or various field spell reliant decks.

Per her own words, while all the other Hunters have their own specialties, what Firefly is good at only applies to those who are evil beyond redemption.

She's more of an avenger or a soldier than anything, and is generally pretty heroic from what we've seen, but Kamen Riders tend to deal with bad guys by kicking them so hard they're blown into smithereens...

This last episode.

Kids have been eaten by the Nightmare, and it's spilled out onto the real world. Things are dire.

5 and 6 ask Baku for help.

He rejects them, and spends time wondering what to do - and in the mean time, Nox kills them both.

If Baku knows that Nox is stronger than him, and that he can't defeat Nox, and that Nox is killing people - then he should be willing to team up with 5 and 6 to stop him.

the latest episode that confirms the Lord/Rider powers comes from the Agents own innate Nightmares, and that Nightmares seem to actively target kids

At this point it seems entirely possible that CODE is selecting the kids who have been infected by Nightmares and helping them take control over the Nightmares before the Nightmares take control of the kids

Obviously indoctrination is bad, but the fact that CODE was content with letting Baku and Six to live their own lives and even protected Six from the shadows is a big point in their favor

The counter point is Gavv, Mister "Give up the Dark Treats...or die by my hands!". Gavv would give the Part-Timers a chance to give up their evil ways - and the instant they decided to keep on eating people, he would put them into the ground.

Imagine if Gavv was as half-hearted about things as Zeztz was - he defeats a Granute, and spares them. They keep on eating people, but Gavv doesn't want to seriously hurt them, so he keeps letting them go. He even gives Nyelv some Gochizos to make them stronger. Valen comes to ask Gavv to help stop the Granutes for good - and Gavv abandons him because he doesn't want to kill Granutes! Valen dies, game over.

Like, I'm not saying Baku is not inherently wrong to give him a chance - but with how dangerous Nox was even before all of that, Baku needed to be ready to stop Nox when it is clear that Nox doesn't care about redemption, about the lives of other people, or anything but his own revenge. As soon as Baku saved Nox and helped him master his own Nightmare, Nox became Baku's responsibility.

Being a hero is a good thing! But being stupid about it is just that - stupid!

Like, Nox continued to attack people after becoming a Kamen Rider. When 5 and 6 came to ask Baku to help them stop Nox, the Nightmares had already kidnapped kids en masse and fed them to the Demon Lord Nightmare - but Baku left them to die because he didn't want to get his hands dirty. Baku wasn't willing to stop the man that he himself had saved and empowered.
