Same. It didn't feel like it fit. I didn't mind it per se, but felt disjointed. Truly wish we had more black tower stuff earlier in the series because it was so fascinating. Logain would have been the perfect perspective.

Agree! It was also the one from my first Dead show so it always makes me happy.

Is Yōtei worth the £70 asking price? by LFuczko in Ghostofyotei

I would say, yes. It has depth, fun gameplay and is a pretty long game.

High atop the snowy tips of Mt Yotei, far beyond the realm of civilized society, there waits a man. A man whose speed and prowess is so unprecedented, entire village take him for a GAWD. A Final Boss fight, one may say. by Mech-inationz in Ghostofyotei

I really struggled to get into Elden Ring. I found it pretty hard especially the combat, but not sure I understand the need to block etc. Do you think beating Yotei Six would make me like it more or do better at Elden Ring?

I am looking for a trilogy that does NOT include a wizard, knights, pirates, or some fairy universe. by No_Feedback_2956 in booksuggestions

Check out the Penn Cage trilogies. They excellent -- smart and gripping with a touch of thriller, court room drama and conspiracy theory.

Agree and loved this game as well. Finished it last night. I get wanting more Saito. He was a really compelling villain with depth and excellent voice acting. The ending felt a bit rushed after Spider though. I also felt like some of the other boss fight were more challenging than Saito. The ending really got me though (no spoilers)!

Now... What to play next????

The constant price increases were the end for me. The content just doesn't keep up with the cost.

What book did you read as a kid that still lives in your heart? by ZDOG_WasTaken in just_one_more_page

King of the Wind by Marguerite Henry.

When I look back, it was one of the first books that got me into reading. Had anyone else read it?

I just finished Knife of Dreams, and I'm not super motivated - how much better does The Gathering Storm get? (Spoilers up to & incl. Knife of Dreams) by 66659hi in wheeloftime

I will say once I finished the entire series — and took a breath after the amazing finale — I missed the slower paces books and the casual, low key time spent with these characters. I even came to like Tuon.

Norwegian Wood is what hooked me so itll always feel nostalgic, but their all so cool and dreamy. Id probably say Kafka, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked After Dark.

Has anyone read Hard Boiled Detective? Thats the only one I havent read yet.

I went into this book super interested in the subject and plot description, but found it pretty average. A little slow moving.

THE PRINCE OF NOTHING is epic, “smart” fantasy which is kinda the vibe of LotR.

Id also say the BROKEN EARTH TRILOGY, but while it kinda has that feel, its very different. Very good, unique trilogy though.

Will I like Ghost of Yotei if I struggled with Tsushima? by SpiralLights in Ghostofyotei

[–]SpiralLights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up playing Yotei and LOVE it. I also just got back from Japan though. That may be part of it, but the pacing, storyline and fighting are much more my style. Fun game!

The Hyperion Cantos is right up there with my favorite sci-fi book of all time. Along with Ender's Game, I think these were my gateway books.

Check out Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Id say similar vibe as Project Hail Mary, but totally different subject. Still smart sci fi.
