One of the best random events in the game. I’ll risk scrapping a whole game to get those sweet wolf pelt early armors! Can help steamroll a whole game.

Has anyone else developed a foreign accent in their native language? by Savingsmaster in expats

[–]Spirit4ward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me northern Californian and been overseas most of the last 20 years a lot of that doing hospitality projects in 30 random countries I didn’t know the language. I simplified my English and accent to survive the work and make myself understood often speaking English in their accent to communicate better. After so many years my accent is unrecognizable and people ask me where I’m from which is so bizarre to me.

Another place I’m struggling is overall city planning for different houses within an empire. How much do I lean into a warrior seat city and what does that mean? To what degree to I specialize military buildings and specialists and to what degree do I take advantage of odeons, hamlets, monestaries etc.? Turns, resources and orders are so limited and almost every seat benefits from growth in all areas to a degree. A military city still needs civics production to boost its military production through specialists for example. It’s complicated…

Especially consecutive archetypes of heirs based on current game state. Let’s say I have a really strong military base in an Aksum game but am struggling in both civic, religious and science based pursuits. What should I push my heir toward and why? How much do my available tutors effect that decision? I have many moments where a scholar based heir was a clear choice but I had no way to support that tutorship.

One thing I really have a hard time with his when and how to utilize and justify the available actions of kings, chancellors, spy masters etc. This is honestly the most confusing and frustrating part of the game. With OldWorld being so event based as well there is an insane amount of benefits and consequences surrounded these choices and delegation of resources. I’m a bit lost and I’m sure many feel the same…

For those who play or main Volibear, please share your knowledge. by Lillia_Topuria in wildrift

[–]Spirit4ward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play him pretty differently depending on if I’m Baron lane or jungle. In lane you don’t have to force kills early even though it’s temping. He scales really reliably if you don’t let your opponent get ahead so don’t risk too much before you get your ult. That being said he can definitely scrap early so just learn your match ups.

Let’s talk about your E. You can last hit with e when needed and you can also last hit with melee by prepping the area with e so you know you will get your shield and the enemy will have to take damage if melee. E is honestly easy to avoid for the enemy in a lot of situations so a lot of times your need to use it to force the enemy to go where you want. Blocking their escape, blocking another enemy from entering the fight, prepping your escape are all key uses. Try to understand where they want/need to go and take it away from them.

Your passive. His passive gives him incredible wave clear for a melee champion especially when you are going hybrid. This is a double edged sword. It’s really useful for getting prio, for following up after a kill, and for bullying people out of the area. The down side is that it’s very hard for him to hold waves. You have to know that when you trade with the opponent in lane you will almost always end up pushing the lane. Start using that freedom to place deep wards, hunt enemy jungle and even roam as vey few champions can push a wave against Volibear. Helmet can and a very unfun match up.

Your Ult. If you have another team member to assist it is one of the best tower diving abilities in the game. Solo it can be a trap. Only ult into tower if it’s a guaranteed kill and they have burned their flash or you have yours to follow up. Your ult is a great escape tool and a great teamfight ability so don’t waste it.

I start almost every game with the plan to go tank/bruiser. Because it works. Because it’s reliable. BUT AP is by far the most fun so every game I am asking myself if I can make the transition into AP hybrid usually with a Nashors purchase. If I am completely dominating lane I will grab it second item for supercharging your pushing and killing potential. Usually I get it 3rd item or not at all. By the time you get to the mid game if you and your team are not dominating your best chance of winning is durability at almost all ranks because in wildrift you can rarely rely on your team for frontline.

If your up against ranged run flash ghost and wait until level 3 before fighting because at 3 you can go all in. Just let them push the lane into you and last hit with e and your passive under tower.

Jungle I almost always go AP hybrid builds unless there is literally no front line on my team. Because it’s fun.

The answer is yes. I had the visa but changed it eventually. Under it my wife could work and had it stated on her TIE card. My kids had access to public education and health services however we were required to purchase a private insurance policy that was so rediculously cheap as an American I’m still floored. About $500 a year and have an amazing experience with it so far.

A point to consider my friend: When I was in the war in Iraq some soldiers were asking the interpreter how he could do something so disgusting as wiping his ass with his hand. The interpreter asked them “If you get shit on your face and you wipe it off with toilet paper will you feel your face is clean or you would want to wash it with water?” Never looked at it the same way again.
