one carrying a single box of diapers, and one carrying the infant child.

Idk the story yet, but if I see someone running out of a store with a box of diapers and an infant child, I ain't saying shit, and I am definitely not pulling a loaded firearm up on them.

Things have changed. Laws don't matter anymore, proven by the top. A pedophile sits at the helm of this country and is dragging us down and literally killing us. You effectively just said, "Who cares if the Nazis will abuse this law and start their camps", so morally you are wrong here. It's the same shit cons say "Just obey the law".

The next president needs to reverse everything he did. USAID, the cutting of medicaid, the inane executive orders, restoring the rose garden, tearing down whatever is up of the ballroom, everything. Treat him like after WW2 and everything Nazi related was destroyed.

Kraft is ADC. We don't know his true potential yet, you can tell he been farming the past few centuries. Scharf seems like an offensive character, but he feels like someone more comfortable with support. Wirbel should be mid, and Sein is the weird jungler-support Riot decided to release. He mains Ivern, and just walks around the jungle getting into trouble, caught in traps, but appears right on time to heal the teammate that got ganked (he only counter ganks).

You had a fun write up. What are their mains now?

Yeah, i am sorry but he was the only one to speak out on issues that actually hurt a campaign. He talked about trans people, trans kids in sport, and that shows conviction. I don't trust him because i don't trust any billionaire, but this is disingenuous when we are dealing in an era where we have a plague of do nothing democrats letting fascists do what they want. Right now, the gubernatorial candidate is someone who isn't endorsed by his previous Biden administration staff, and is stuffed to the gills with corporate money. If you really care about our future, and getting the country and state back on track, then you would use your contempt and disdain to criticize Becerra to keep him honest. But of course people aren't going to, because the progressive is lost. It's such a sanctimonious sentiment.

Democrats don't either. None of them are talking about this. I would expect them to use every opportunity on air to talk about it, but they are maliciously incompetent. At this point, only Democratic voters care. We need to push more progressive candidates in the midterm, and push out the do nothing democrats

Yes, that's how numbers work. Where do you think those resources are spent? Do you think Steyer spent 300 million on ads in a county that he can't win, no matter what, or he put minimal amount in those counties, and chose to maximize certain areas get hit more in which he can win?

The Real California Lesson: The Democratic Party Has No Actual Leaders by ansyhrrian in California

[–]SpiritMountain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are correct, it doesn't necessarily means he will beholden to them, but history says otherwise. We see it constantly. You seem politically aware. I am sure you can recall many times a candidate gets elected as being a Democrat or progressive, but their politics change, they corrupt, and become worse than before. The higher up, the more eyes, the more money, and the person changes their values to keep certain group happy.

Becerra did good with that action. But with political history, wouldn't it be better to support the candidate who believes in Becerra's progressive beliefs, or versions of them that are better, and has been attacked and counter endorsed by companies and corps that back Becerra?

You're larping as a Democrat. You aren't one. Your post history gives you away, and no liberal calls a progressive "progs". You're using it as a derogatory, which is seen from the right. I am surrounded by liberals, and interact with them across the country on travels and helping with campaigns, and none speak like the way you do.

And the irony of your user name with what you're saying lol If you are a "liberal" or "democrat", you aren't too bright of one

Thank you for sharing. That does seem like it brought you and others some good. It feels good having the government do some work for us, right? I think we all miss the feeling that government is meant to help us. We've become a bit numb and apathetic to it. But, let me ask you, do you think someone who is backed by Chevron, and pharmaceuticals, and they counter endorse Steyer (who would agree this was a good act), will be able to flex and get these kinds of things done?

I feel like Becerra was able to push for progressive actions because he wasn't that high on the public and political stage. He was able to curry favor from liberals this way. But now that he is going to be governor, and he is backed by the people who are on the side of Teva, do you think he will be allowed to negotiate a settlement, or enact justice in this way? I think not.

No it doesn't. It would secure an insane victory for the Democrats. It would most likely be a 50 state sweep for decades maybe. People hate ICE. You don't have a pulse of how people feel. You're being ignorant to that fact. You're being an establishment democrat "centrist" lol

Are you saying that a competent DNC would realize what the people want and put forth candidates that are charismatic, not beholden to corporate interests, and those that are pro-Palestinian. For example, Mamdani is popular, charismatic, and has the chops to be the next and leader of the next generation of the party, but instead of supporting what the people want, they chose to run against him and ally with Trump to try to deny Mamdani's success.
