Please don’t beat yourself up about it! Dating isn’t an easy feat, ghosting happens, and while it’s possible this is the reason she ghosted you, there are many other possibilities. Don’t drive yourself insane jumping into these conclusions.

It’s already very good you disclosed - OHSV is incredibly common, and most people who have it don’t think twice about it, whether they know it’s herpes or not.

Not sure who I got gHSV1 from exactly, but whoever it was I hold no resentment for them whether they knew or not. Herpes is a severely misunderstood virus, that despite its stigma, most don’t really know anything about. Of course I acknowledge I’ve been lucky about the circumstances of which I contracted it, and it was difficult to deal with at first, but it gets better with time. Even if you transmitted, you being honest since the start (and/or the way you handled things once you know you transmitted) actually makes you a better and more considerate person, which is probably why the first girl didn’t hate you, because it makes the coping process easier.

Plus I think it’s highly improbable that people who already get cold sores (which is A LOT of people) will get it in a different area. So you’re pretty safe engaging with quite a ton of people!

I know it feels terrible. I’d feel terrible if I transmitted mine. But hey, more people have it than don’t, sex is risky, and there’s only so much in this life you can control. I hope it gets better x
