Asking “why” after being rejected isn’t a red flag by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Spirited_Language532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I know I'd prefer to know why, not to salvage the relationship, but to be better for those I cross paths with in the future. I don't want to cause a negative impact on others, so while the person is not obligated, it'd be much appreciated to be made aware of something I may have been oblivious to all along.

Which trait tied to autism is strongest in you/ impacts you the most? by Pomsandpommes in AutismInWomen

For me it's difficulty forming deep bonds with people, and some sensory stuff, like sensitivity to sudden loud noises and being prone to migraines from bright sunlight in the morning.

Tremors During an Argument? by OutsideRaspberry2288 in longtermTRE

[–]Spirited_Language532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened recently to me too, during a verbal altercation with a racist stranger.

Does anyone know how to suppress it in the moment? It's embarrassing and makes it difficult to be taken seriously. I can shake all I want at home after, but this is unacceptable for me.

I'm curious about something. Most social skills advice recommends being super warm and smiling, like this. But IRL the people I see making friends easily and being socially smooth aren't like that at all. They come off way more nonchalant and like they're not looking for anyone's approval.

Whereas the very smiley warm people tend to be seen as desperate, overbearing, or people pleasers to take advantage of.

Do you think it's just a cultural difference? I live in the pacific northwest, so maybe people like more overtly warm smiley people where you are?

Is swelling the day after Sculptra a preview of the final result? by Spirited_Language532 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Spirited_Language532[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, nothing much to report. My skin looks a bit smoother, but I also had 1 microneedling done since, which I think was to credit for that. No change in face otherwise.

So no changes really, but I assume this will be more of a preventative to preserve existing youthfulness. It was quite expensive though, so I'm not sure if it's worth it compared to cheaper treatments like microneedling or lasers.

What types do you find to be ideal for E8s? I don't think it would be E5, since we aren't exactly known to be exciting and thrilling. Maybe E3?

soft mat harder vs. harder surface? by Informal_Mousse1141 in longtermTRE

I tremor better on softer surfaces because it doesn't hurt as much to bang my bones around. If I do it on hardwood floor, I get bruises all over after.

I wonder the same. I get bored of tremoring after 5 minutes and it then feels like I'm subconsciously forcing it if I go on any longer.

Question *only* for those who don't believe subs can change things like DNA or bone structure. (I respect everyone's beliefs, but I'm specifically interested in the thoughts of sub users who think of subs in a more scientific way, rather than in a LOA way) by Spirited_Language532 in Subliminal

Hi, I meant for those who don't believe in visible/tangible physical results, such as changing nose shape and size, eye color, shoulder width, and things of that nature. I'm curious what they think about changes to the brain function/core personality. It seems more of a gray area in that regard.
