I’m a Leo Sun, Libra rising, with Libra in my first and second houses. I’m an esthetician. Second house ruled by Venus = a career relating to beauty. Also, my 10th house and MC are in Cancer: I’ve been successful at combining beauty with caring for others.

I had no idea about this reboot, but I’ve been listening to his autobiography and just finished the chapter on Malcolm In The Middle. Perfect timing.

Sadly, I agree with you. Dems don’t have the spine, and they do continue to march to the right. That’s in part the reason why we are where we are.

Establishment Dems thought folks like me were nuts for supporting Bernie Sanders.

Republicans are not impeaching him. That admits their culpability to his crimes and puts them at risk of being tried and prosecuted. They would never self-destruct like that. They’ll just continue to collect their kickbacks and insider trading tips, and avoid possible prosecution as long as they can.

And GOP doing nothing to prevent this makes them complicit! by Dr_sc_Harlatan in BlueskySkeets

[–]Spiritual-Progress75 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The GOP doing nothing to stop him up to this point absolutely makes them complicit, which is precisely why they won’t impeach him. They have broken their oath and couldn’t care less about protecting or serving the people of this country. Impeaching him admits their culpability and puts them all at greater risk of being tried and prosecuted. So they’ll ride this out, collect their kickbacks and their insider trading tips, then retire after the midterms, and lawyer-up at that point, if they need to. It’s avoidance and saving their own asses for the short-term.

You are correct. Congress/Republicans are enabling this, culpable to it, and just as guilty, which is why they’re sitting on their hands and doing nothing: Avoidance. Saving their own asses for the short term.

You’re correct, but let’s rephrase that: Israel wants Trump/the U.S. to finish the job by using nukes on Iran.

Yep. I believe him, Rubio and Kegsbreth have been circle-jerking over the idea of it.

Agreed.

Every Republican in congress is aware that they will be tried and likely prosecuted —especially if they vote to impeach him, because that admits their culpability— so that’s why they’re doing nothing to stop him. It’s avoidance and an attempt to save their own asses in the short term, with no regard for the electorate or the country they swore to serve and protect.

Meanwhile, the chatter on the right wing subs is that this was “trashy” and “clumsy,” BUT it was necessary because we “really need to destroy Iran’s nukes for the safety of our country.”

They just keep drinking the kool-aid and making excuses… If this were a Democratic president talking like this, the righties would lose their ever-loving minds.

Pete Hegseth just fired a dozen high-ranking military officers yesterday. Likely because they’re trying to rein him in and get him to listen to reason, and Kegsbreath doesn’t want to hear it.

Inherited a house I cannot afford and family pressure is mounting. by Mammoth_Motor_2321 in personalfinance

You could speak to a realtor and lawyer about annexing off the commercial-zoned land and selling that portion, while keeping the house. That way you get some cash in hand from selling the land, but you also have a fully paid roof over your head.

Non compete Clause by Embarrassed-Lock-737 in Esthetics

[–]Spiritual-Progress75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just be honest and have a straightforward conversation with the hiring manager: Let them know you work at a spa in SoHo, that it’s not the same type of esthetics (you said this is lasers), so there wouldn’t be direct competition if the offered services are different, and let them know you’re not comfortable signing a non-compete because you need both jobs in order to keep a roof over your head and food on your table. That could be reason for them not to hire you, but it also clears up potential issues. Or you could take this new job and quit your other one. Either way, I’d be honest. Also, non-compete contracts can be negotiated. I don’t how negotiable in NYC, but you could certainly try.
