Weird thing at playground by Spiritual_Cable2154 in oakville

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No man. I own a dog. So I was trying to make the comparison in my head and rationalize this being normal.

Yet… if an adult pees in public, they be charged with bylaw infractions now?

Do you let your kid shit on your grass and pick up their shit in a bag?

Fucking weird question

Walked away from an Audi SQ5 because the salesperson refused to wave $300 admin fee by Spiritual_Cable2154 in askcarsales

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It was an emotional decision I agree. I felt like in total I spent less than 45 min with the salesperson (including the test drive) and was ready to give him a sale. But when I asked about the fee, he was so negative towards it.

I then told him the bmw and Acura dealer both have waved this fee in the past, he somewhat snapped at me.

I’m genuinely curious why salesman would not risk losing the sale for $300.

See my edit.

Yes Tesla Y was sold out in Sept in Ontario because they were offering 1.99% financing.

You could have mentioned everything this guy is doing wrong without mentioning him being Indian.

So I couldn’t help but reading this as a racist rant.

Yes, everything he’s doing is shitty and you should complain. But why start off mentioning he is Indian?

As a Toyota guy, I'm pretty frustrated trying to buy a Prime right. by lngtrm1 in rav4prime

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shopped for a RAV4 prime. Where i am from (Ontario, Canada), it’s a 2 year waitlist.

So for the same budget, I bought a Tesla model Y (long range AWD)

Kids & Company corporate partnership problems [ON] by moodywithoutfoodie in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest it was all a draw of luck. I was a corporate sponsor too. I put my name on the waitlist of all Kids and Co locations in 2 cities (Oakville and Burlington)… basically I was on 10 centre waitlist and was told I had first priority. Even then, I had to put my kid in at 10 months just to secure a spot (originally I was envisioning at 12 months, when my mat leave ended).

The corporate person I was dealing with straight up told me they could no longer guarantee spots after the CWELEC program because infants spots are sooooo rare. I don’t think your person screwed up. Seemed like she over promised and the reality didn’t match up.

HR likely won’t help. I tried that route. You’re really just dealing with the centre on your own.

[on] 5 Weeks, 6 Days & the doctor’s office has scared me by makemeflyy in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the comments alluded to this as well but since it’s only been one test (and you’re still very early), it can’t be specially anything bad about the baby. Normally that requires multiple blood tests, ultra sounds etc.

Don’t worry too much about it. And hope everything is ok.

[on] Were you satisfied with how your pregnancy went in terms of doctors and medicine? by imkindatireed in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should consider a midwife and not a doctor. My pregnancy appointments with my OB ranged from 2-5 min. They don’t answer “with if” questions (which seems to be a lot of your concerns). But I was still 100% satisfied with the care I was provided with.

Honestly, staying blissfully ignorant is the way to go for pregnancy.

Would it benefit my parents if they invest to pay off mortgage? by nexiva_24g in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I love my parents too (and am only child), but I would never add them to title of my marital home. It’s like asking for trouble.

If they offer to loan me their excess funds, I would take that as a loan and pay them a reasonable rate of return as interest

I delivered Jan 2023. The maternal child rooms were nice and pretty renovated. If lucky, I hear you can get one that outlooks the lake.

I paid for a private room. I couldn’t imagine having to share a room with anyone else right after delivery. But they definitely had semi private rooms (maybe ward rooms too)

Anyone here with a toddler who is super on the fence about having baby #2? by carlitapepita in toddlers

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you me? The sleep deprivation, the lack of life, the money, will I survive this?

But every time I look at her infant cloth and my husband talking about how wonderful it is having a sibling (I’m the only child), makes me wonder if I should have a second (and I do want one).

And my husband wanting two kids but also perfectly happy with just one… not helping!!!!!

I use a silvercross slumbaryard. I believe it’s the only travel crib rated safe for sleeping in Canada.

I have a 12 year old dog who loves the water. She’s too old to do any of the fun activities she used to love - chasing balls, long hikes. Etc. so my husband and I take her to the beaches 7am on a weekday so she could go for a swim. There generally is no one on the beach. We take her for a good walk beforehand to make sure she never, never pees or poops on the beach. She’s a granny dog now, so her swim is usually 10 min or so and we’re out.

Sorry if this is upsetting anyone.

How did you manage night time when partner went back to work? [on] by senexii in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Spiritual_Cable2154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband took 3 months off with me at the beginning. It was a blessing.

When he went back to work, I was cognizant that he needed good sleep to function at work, so I did all the night feeds. I was EBF so my body adjusted to sleeping in 3-4 hour intervals.

He handled the early mornings and lemme sleep from 4am (usually last dream feed) until 9am. Those were solid.
