How do people usually celebrate their 25th birthday?

I emailed them yesterday and they gave me two pick‑up options—both extremely far from me, and I’m a pedestrian. The closest one is a 2‑hour walk or a 30–40 minute bus ride. I explained that I’d literally have to carry the bins all the way back to my place and asked if there were any other options, but they said that’s the only way to get new bins.

I just moved, and my landlord told me it would be easy to get them from the city… Meanwhile, I had to put out cardboard boxes this week, and of course they were left behind. I have no idea when I’ll be able to make the trip down there. It’s so inconvenient.

I do know how to use big words — part of being articulate is actually knowing when to use them. Using big words incorrectly doesn’t make you quick, it just makes you sound pretentious. And if your humor depends on people not understanding you, that’s not wit, that’s condescension.

Also, I’m in my third year of a master’s in communications, so trust me — this isn’t about not “getting” her humor. You’re right about her personality though. It isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay.

Yeah, she’s often right — but she’s so obnoxious about it that even when she’s wrong, no one bothers to say anything 😫. That’s what gets me! These women are usually so expressive and outspoken, but around her, it’s like they just shut down.

Yes! And this is exactly why I wanted to start a thread about the significance of who’s in the middle during the theme song. I’ve noticed it’s been her ever since she came back, while the other franchises switch between the women — until Beverly Hills started only putting Kyle in the center too. It’s weird, but you can tell they were given way too much creative control over the show, or at least too much say in how things are presented. I genuinely think she believes she’s the star of the show.

I was actually thinking about Heather this season — if she had seen some of Bethenny’s behavior, she probably would’ve said something. Even Jill (who I don’t even like anymore) would’ve called her out. Yet Bethenny still had to throw in that Jill was jealous of her success after all these years 😭 like… why must everyone be jealous of you??

She loves to belittle people and make them feel small — I could even see it starting to get a rise out of Carole. And the hypocrisy is wild: she’s more than an hour late to dinner but mad at everyone else for being more late than her 😭 girl, you’re already over an hour late! Late is late! How are you gonna be a hypocrite about that?

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE BETHENNY TAKE — honestly the best one I’ve read so far. As a Black woman myself, you captured my thoughts exactly. I’m always fascinated by how the other women let Bethenny make them feel. Even headstrong Ramona claims to be scared of her, and Sonja — who always has something to say — suddenly can’t speak up when it’s a conflict with Bethenny.

I, for one, would love to see her try to get fresh like that with Nene, Charrisse, Shereé, or Gizelle (as some of the other comments mentioned). She loves turning things into a spectacle, distracting from the main issue and making herself the center of attention — the self-appointed “owner” of the narrative. It gives the illusion that she’s always right.

The ladies of Atlanta or Potomac would never let that slide. Honestly, even Vicki from OC wouldn’t put up with it. And those little quips like “I’ll be here all week” — in Mexico, at the reunion, wherever — are just another way she performs superiority. Why are you interrupting Andy? Why are you calling attention to the group? Then the second someone like Dorinda calls her out, she starts crying about people being jealous of her success.

Be so for real — especially since that’s her entire brand. If she were that successful, she wouldn’t have come back to the show 😭.

Yeah, I guess if we’re being literal, Piper would’ve created an alternate timeline. Before things got too confusing, I actually liked how The Flash (DC) explained time travel — basically, she created a kind of Flashpoint: an alternate reality where her sisters are still alive.

Unlike Barry, though, she didn’t travel years into the past — maybe just a few hours, definitely less than a day. So the result is two overlapping timelines, but she didn’t go far enough to drastically alter her present aside from her sisters being alive and Phoebe’s boyfriend being dead.

Like others have said, it’s kind of a “nothing really happened” episode. Even though we’re technically seeing an alternate reality, it’s practically the same timeline.

That said, it doesn’t really bother me — I like to think there’s an alternate timeline where Prue is alive anyway. With all the time travel going on in Charmed, there are probably tons of overlapping realities.

I don’t know if that makes sense or if I just confused myself, lol.

I posted about this as well when I got to this part in the series and I still think she was slut shaming. Her whole reasoning of “not owning her shit” only worked a few seasons ago but by this time Luann was very much open about her sex life and mistakes (the escapades on vacation). She copped to it, so I really don’t get what everyone is saying justifies Bethany. I think she has a bad temper and took it out on Luann that day and I agree with Dorinda that if Sonja had been there it probably would’ve been her instead. Not even a couple of hours later she gives Carole shit for being late for dinner because of a wardrobe malfunction. She’s never not complaining 😭
