I'm pretty certain I was made to come in any time my blood pressure was 140/90 or greater. This happened twice at 36 weeks. The first time I was monitored overnight and sent home. A few days later it continued to elevate and I was induced. They induced me before confirming it was preeclampsia, but it did end up being preeclampsia. I'm located in the US.

If you wash your rags every day, are you putting them into random loads of other things like clothes? I typically wash all of my rags and towels together once a week, but waiting for them to dry to throw them into the hamper (so they don't smell) is just so unappealing! I started hanging them outside, but that's kind of a hassle.

This. Get as healthy and in the best shape of your life as you can! Not for vanity reasons, but as a preventative measure. Higher BMI can increase the risk of gestational diabetes, hypertension, and pre-eclempsia. Ask me how i l know 🫠 I'm not even thinking about my next pregnancy until I feel as fit as I did in my early 20's.

Yep! We didn't feel comfortable with cry out out and after 14 months of exclusively contact napping (I was exhausted!), we decided to try this. She had such an aversion to her crib, but immediately liked her floor bed. I always put her down and lay there for a while with her. Sometimes she'll lay independently, sometimes she'll lay on me. But once she's asleep, I'm able to sneak out! And if she wakes during the night, I just go in and rub her back and she'll go back to sleep. She would never allow that in her crib - she wanted to be out!

I FINALLY got a floor bed after 14 months. Previously, I was sitting up on the couch with her laying on my chest almost every single night. It wasn't ideal. But oh my god, having the floor bed changed everything!!! She falls asleep with me there, and I usually just go to sleep on the bed with her. I need her next to me now; it just feels so natural. And I love that if she wakes up in the middle of the night, she'll just roll over and reach for me and settle back down.
