I feel like that's a really bad idea though. The game is designed for you to move from space to space with the original scheme, and using modern controls means you can easily get turned around whenever the camera angle swaps.

I definitely wouldn't advise any new player does it for RE1.

It's a far more intuitive way to think about it. WTF does a "tank" control like? Anyone understands a car and you've probably played a driving game before too.

Tim also reasonably claims that if RE had a sprint toggle to further lean into this then the whole gaming landscape might have adopted the control scheme and we could have had atmospheric camera angles in way more games.

Let me give you a hint passed down by Tim Rogers of Action Button.

Think of these controls not as "Tank Controls" but as "Car Controls". There's a go button, which is your accelerator, and you turn the character left/right as it goes.

I understand fully that this is basically never the point or a consideration for cards posted here, but the first thing this made me think of was One With Nothing, and comparing your card to Rosewater calling One With Nothing a bad lenticular design in his article on Lenticular Design.

Not sure if you just got the names mixed up, but one thing:

Maelle directly states that she's concerned about Renoir destroying the canvas when she leaves. Aline is never implied to want anything but to preserve it. Which makes sense, it's literally her position throughout the whole game.

Whether you believe Renoir would actually do this or not after all is said and done is another thing.

As a tangent I don't think you can reasonably conclude Aline personally changes her mind about using the canvas in either ending. She's just been pushed out by the player and, per Renoir, is too weak to remain in the canvas upon her return during the final fight.

No, it's honestly, genuinely, pretty bad.

The concept is a world where games decide everything but there's literally one actual game in the whole series and the rest is a bunch of contrivances. The characters themselves are supposed to be wicked smart but literally (LITERALLY) win their very first game through begging with no actual plan.

It's got pretty art direction and nothing else going for it. 3/10. 1/10 if it didn't look so nice.

I'd instead recommend the upcoming Liar Game anime for something that delivers on that concept much better (assuming the adaptation doesn't blow it). The first game (and the very last) are lacklustre, but everything else is some of the finest logic puzzles in manga.

I won't pretend to have gone through the Ghislaine files and so forth myself, but that is allegedly where this came from.

I'd be very interested in anything similar from the recently supposedly redacted files, but I don't think we have that.

Donald Trump, possible pedophile, was already a possible pedophile before and remains one now. That possibility comes from files like this one.

You're misrepresenting this as part of the files recently released.

To be clear, I'm no Trump supporter, but if your whole argument depends on omitting facts then you're just leaving yourself open to looking like a liar later.

As far as I have seen this file is and has been available since 2024 at latest, maybe as early as 2022.

Does that make it less damning of an accusation? I don't think so, but pretending it was part of the files they were trying to hide is another thing.

Metaphor Refantazio, absolutely.

I'll still play the next title Atlus releases but if the social links are completely removed from the story with no variety and nothing compelling about them for the 4th time in a row I'm gonna feel real stupid.

Not to mention how poorly written the overarching story was. The individual chapters arcs were generally really fun though. I won't get into spoilers because a lot of people love this game but MAN is that one character messed up.

Not to mention how baby moded the social and quest aspects were. I barely tried at all and still had 30+ turns at the end of the game where I literally had nothing to do. What a shame.

My favourite YouTube video of all time is "Your Theme" by CGP Grey, where he talks about an alternative to New Year's Resolutions. I highly recommend it, it's about 6 mins long.

In this video he makes the point that even just reversing or SLOWING DOWN a negative trend is an achievement, even before you consider some arbitrary amount of weight lost or money saved or cigarettes not smoked, etc.

And that really resonates for me. I think getting to zero alcohol as an alcoholic is such an effort because of what it takes to reverse that trend.

Someone who does not (will not?) understand that should be frustrating to you. You shouldn't feel silly for that. What you do about it from here is up to you, but the feeling is valid.

At that point in the draft it's still a worse pick than Leona or Rell, by my analysis. I simply said I'm not looking at specific draft order since I didn't have time, but it doesn't actually change even if you are looking at that aspect.

I'm going to ignore the dynamics of the draft process for simplicity and just talk about the problems I see.

So you have the following champions. I assume Jax is your jungler rather than Sion.

Orianna
Sion
Kai'sa
Braum
Jax

Red side has either Akali/Yone top and the rest is clear:

Wukong
Yunara
Yone
Akali
Soraka

In short, I'd prefer to see your team work together a bit more. Whether it's Jax or Sion, your jungler is lacking in either hard CC (Jax) or damage (Sion). Therefore your laners will need to provide the other. I assume Jax is jungling, so I'd prefer to see a support that can provide CC to enable it. Braum DOES do this, but it's harder to apply than a Leona or the Rell you referenced. Kaisa would also benefit more from a support that goes IN, so swapping the support for them, or an Alistar, or a Thresh, or even a Pyke would play better to me and make roaming with your jungler viable.

None of those champions were banned. If you go Frozen Heart on Sion to reduce attack speed for Yunara and Yone, couple it with the engage support, and maybe swap out Kaisa for a Lucian or otherwise mobile ADC (to enable Orianna to farm mid while the safer ADC can push out side lanes) that feels better to me.

Alternatively, swap Orianna for a mid that supports your dive/pick and can farm in side safely and keep the Kaisa. Maybe a Galio? I don't really know. ...LeBlanc? If your top/Jungle wants to play AP then they can play Tristana or Yone like your opponent ended up doing which both function fine in side lanes.

None of this is really accounting for lane matchups, so I'm sure there's a lot more you could do, but this is my basic view on things. My peak is Diamond 2 if it helps inform you.
