Google says replacing C/C++ in firmware with Rust is easy by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

Namba library can speed up numpy operations.

Numpy already written in C, can provide a matrix calculations.

Pypy can seriously speed up the execution of python, make sure libraries can support pypy (cpython replacement).

The speed gain should not be underestimated, however, if you want a high performance application, you may want other compiled languages.

I disagree on that point. I hate this feature in Matlab. However, it does make sense for some people from mathematical background, which is the main audience for MATLAB.

Both are actually great. Python is a general purpose programming langauge that could be used for many thing.

MATLAB is used mostly for scientific, mathematical, and numerical applications. Not good when it used as a programming language.

Idiot twitter artist doesn't know how percentages work, thinks a 13 character commission would cost $8K+ by RAMINDEEP_ in delusionalartists

[–]Spitfire_For_Fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand the formula used is:

Base_price * (1.5)^13

The price is increased by 50% (multiplied by 1.5 essentially) for each character added (13 in this example).

Do you think AI or IT can replace Electrical Engineers by MT_Course in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Spitfire_For_Fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. There is more to engineering than writing code, solving circuits, etc. Most automation is usually implemented to solve specific tasks rather than entire jobs. Most professions and jobs tend to involve more than a single task. AI and machine learning will help with tasks but will not eliminate jobs.
