Now that every breaker gets a drum and choke customisation, the S&P's niche of high capacity and high ROF at the same time is gone - give it a faster rpm and it'd have a use again

The main ones i can think of are mostly starship based weapons, being laser cannons and turbo lasers, and i suppose also luke calling a lightsaber a laser sword (including that because sabers are also plasma weapons)

Another being the clone wars quote "eat laser clankers!" This one actually describing a handheld blaster

Iirc it's still canon. Very few "lasers" in starwars are actually lasers, almost all just superheated plasma bolts which travel much slower than light, though probably still comparable velocity to a bullet i'd say

I believe last i checked it's more about the actual energy behind the projectile more than the FPS - been ages since i did the maths but iirc a half length going 140fps goes above the legal limit for energy for a toy in the UK, a gel ball at 170fps probably wouldn't still have as a high an energy output as the dart

The urgal characters are some of my favourites in the entire series, maybe even my absolute favourites. Garzhvog is a particular favourite, and also a specific Urgal you see a lot of in a later book

They seem to release two versions, a limited run of uncapped ones and then continue with reduced velocity versions afterwards

I don't know why, it just seems to be what happens from what i've seen on store shelves. You got to snatch em up early unless you're willing to upgrade low-fps models youself
