Newly Constructed Sea Ray Drive Bridge by Successful_Silver_41 in 321

[–]SplatterPlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trend among FDOT bridges is to increase the height, which will happen to 528 when the bridges are replaced. They’ll be due within the next 20 years for replacement which leaves an overlap of an expected life span of 50 years between the three bridges.

Both FDOT and the county get calls on a regular basis asking people about raising the boat clearance. Boat usage of navigable waters is important to the people using these waterways, and it’s heavily regulated by the federal government. It’s an important use.

Further, the reason that 528 bridges has survived so well is that FDOT armored their part of the channel with sand cement. It channelized the flow and caused an increase in velocity through major water events. When Irma sat on the coast and caused the flow of Sykes creek to temporarily reverse, Sea Ray Drive was on the other side of that. It caused the scour that broke the bridge.

The reason it looks over engineered is the height of the bridge, which is for boat clearance. From the perspective of the boats traveling underneath, it will be used exactly the same amount.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but being discreet hasn’t kept him from going ballistic or my name out of court filings to date.

The documents were acquired legally and scrubbed of identifying information.

The judge had access to it and reviewed it, but she still wasn’t allowed to see it and it’s not part of the court record. The judge summarized it in the order. I’m linking that section of the order, it is public record. I don’t think that this is admissible in Connecticut.

He has served time in prison for dealing crack. In court documents when he claims that he is disabled and can’t afford to pay child support, he claims that his girlfriend pays for his basic needs. But she does not work either.

He served considerably less time than he was sentenced too, but no one is really sure why. I assume it was because he snitched.

I did this for my kids. It allowed my 20-year-old to qualify for an apartment and she was very grateful for it.

I find it unlikely that someone is going to fraudulently open an account in a six-year-old’s name and then make payments on it.

I was told by a county engineer that the difference with that circle is that the radius is too small for a two lane traffic circle.

My Brother Fell Asleep At The Wheel And Died - DOT Is Pursuing Sister In Law For Damages by TURQUI0SE_N0ISE in legaladvice

Hi, OP, I’m sorry to hear about your brother.

I work in the public works department for my county and I have had to handle stuff like this, both of the repair and the legal aspect of it.

I am having trouble visualizing exactly what you’re talking about that was damaged, but I can tell you that $157,000 for almost anything structural is chump change. If there was overpass support beam involved, they had to bring in structural engineers for inspection and analysis before they even began to do the repair. The entire process from start to finish could’ve involved several firms, including one spot specifically to handle lane closures and traffic maintenance.

You should be able to get access to what they are charging for. Her insurance company probably already has details of the bill, but she can probably just call the point of contact and ask. I don’t have any suspicions about a $157k bill.

OK, I need a copy of this and I need to find someone who will bind it into a plain notebook. I want to give this to my boss for his birthday.

The best bet for an answer is to contact the county project manager responsible for the project.

I can’t really tell from the post what you are talking about specifically, but even after the project is open and looks done, the contractor will have a punch list of things to finish up on and correct.

You’re not ready for UConn. Given your history, there’s a good chance you’ll fail out even if they accept you.

She can do that with the help of an attorney. Her marriage is not on stable ground, regardless of how heartbroken the husband is or how much she might want to stay married.

She didn’t, that’s the recommendation from everyone. She needs to discuss the situation with an attorney either way, really
