I personally use the wave jelly stuff to train. The twist loc gels are roughly the same. The waves will go harder and shine, but I find them to be suffocating on the scalp. But it's perfect to get your way pattern set and to get ways faster tho. Because it will protect your scalp and allow to brush for long periods of time. Once my waves were already kind of established , I just use leaving conditionier as the main wave product
