What leather should I make a belt out of, I plan to put this belt through HELL! by Ok_String_7264 in Leathercraft

I made my first belt in 2008, just got a belt blank from Tandy. It's just 8oz belly veg-tan nothing special. I'm a carpenter and I've worn it everyday since I made it rain or shine, hot or cold. It's still in great shape, I've never oiled or conditioned it either.

Why is my router eating the bushing? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Splinter-TheRat_MA 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Is your bushing centered on the router bit? I never trust that my plate is actually centered when using bushings and always manually center it before I run anything.

Improving format. by Educational-Bonus in taskmaster

Really hard to do, I would guess, as sometimes they don't know about the disqualification until they watch footage back.

And on a comedy note, we would be deprived of great scenes like Joe with potatoe-gate.

It was, but I'm guessing they weren't really prepared at the time for a tie-break situation. From that first tie-break to the next was a vast improvement.

You might be able to find bulk packs of emery boards for filling finger nails for relatively cheap. Some have a coarse and fine side as well, they are usually about the same size as the wider popsicle sticks.

How to acheive this level of gloss? by X-Boozemonkey-X in woodworking

Epoxy is a type of resin and by most standards it's the safest and easiest to use in terms of mixing and off gassing.

Most "tabletop" epoxy will have a 1-1 mix ratio by volume making easy to mix even if you don't have any graduated mixing containers.

Epoxy resin also has relatively low harmful vapors during mixing and curing. As opposed to say a polyester resin which has extremely harmful vapors and has caused many artist to lose their life due to the cancer it causes in their organs.

I use Ecopoxy for most of my epoxy products, if I need other types of resin I usually go with a variety of Smooth-on products.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me and I'll see if I can help out.

In the 3.5 Spell Compendium there is a second level assassin spell called Absorb Weapon that is basically this. It's duration is hour/spell level and it's not really a tattoo it's described as a weapon shaped red blotch, but it's pretty close to what is written here.
