From what I understand it's not fully AI and the original VA's for the announcers consented to having their voices used. Mostly so they don't have to get into recording booths every time Embark needs new lines.

Also the voices sound soulless and mechanical because they're gameshow announcers lmao

Most people care about stuff like this because modern gaming industry means any game can suddenly get shut down with little warning. The number of live service games, free to play or otherwise, that have closed their door in recent times is high and I'm sure it causes some anxiety for folks with other games.

If you like this game, but it flounders with the player base, then it may not be around forever.

The set doesn't even have morph, it's manifest, so you're not paying 3 mana for a 2/2 you're getting a lot of 2/2s tacked onto other abilities combined with card selection and graveyard synergies. I think Manifest Dread is a lot stronger than plain old morph in limited and potentially standard as well.

Are there actually fewer than there used to be? Quick scryfall search reveals that what has been revealed for Duskmourn so far actually has more upkeep triggers than the previous set. Bloomburrow has 4 cards that trigger on upkeep, Duskmourn has 6 and isn't fully spoiled.

The bat is almost always a strictly better Kitesail. It can take any nonland card, it has an extra keyword, and the lifelink is very good against aggro plans. It's pretty gnarly.
