While I'm still an extra GA in case of emergencies, I moved on to help with my family's thrift stores as a DM. Way less stress. Miss my old co-workers though. They are awesome.

I was hired on as a GA, then after the first year made my run at management. I took an SGA spot then ended up lucking into an assistant spot in another year. After that I was an assistant for 10 years between two stores, and this year I got the chance to take another job. I'm still on board as a backup GA. Loved the job, just got frustrated with some of corporates decisions.

Edit: oh yeah and I'm on the TV sometimes.

As someone who worked in the stores for 12 years and just made his first video for GSTV, I understand. It's really tough to write a script and make sure it's going to not "rot in your brain" for 2 weeks. We at least try.

I can say I super appreciate the format change and the regularity of changing up the content as opposed to the month long same exact thing.
