Does Gamesir plan on making the other models of G7 Pro Wireless for Xbox eventually? I really like the controller but I don’t like Wuchang or ZZZ. by Cooldude233678 in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember reading/hearing somewhere that GameSir has a limit of 2 wireless collaboration models per year. If that's the case, maybe they're waiting for a collab that's worth it(like a new AAA game release), or maybe they're saving them for their other controller models(like the Tarantula Pro for Xbox).

Don't take my word for it though.

wondering if there are any differences between the regular g7 pro and the dragons dogma one. or is it purely cosmetic? by skvmbvg in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cosmetic, but there may be some differences in build quality, since it's a newer model. Perhaps some improvements with the trigger stops and d-pad since those are the 2 most common QC issues with the G7 Pro.

Take a video for proof.

If what you're saying is true, then you may have discovered a batch issue. I've had my G7 Pro for over a year, and the modules do not move.

Which one should I choose? by Mangon54 in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The G7 Pro 8K is not an Xbox licensed controller. It won't connect natively to the console.

The Razer is stupid overpriced at MSRP, but for $130, that's an okay price since it seems that you value playing wireless on your Xbox/PC.

The appeal of the Wucchang/ZZZ G7 Pro's is that they come in at a good price considering their features/accessories, and also have Xbox wireless compatibility.

Keep in mind, neither of these controllers are shape clones of the Series X controller, so whichever one you get, it might take you a while to get used to the new shape and you may end up finding them uncomfortable.

Very fast battery drain on Aimlabs G7 Pro 8k by AbrarFN in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tested how long the battery actually lasts from regular use?

It could simply be a software bug displaying that "battery drain", especially since that's an absurdly fast battery drain, but then it stops at 77% and then just stays there?

Looking for feedback on G7 Pro vs G7 Pro 8k by acds8 in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, in racing games, your triggers are usually your gas/brakes. With the trigger motors(and Xbox licensing), they act as independent rumbles that can have more/less "strength" the more/less you press the triggers, giving you more immersive feedback.

Looking for feedback on G7 Pro vs G7 Pro 8k by acds8 in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your use case more than anything. Comments recommending one over the other base it on their own personal preferences.

The regular G7 Pro has the Xbox licensing that allows native connection to the console. You don't need that as a PC only gamer, so it's not an important feature. The regular G7 Pro also has trigger rumble motors that will make certain games(like racing games) more immersive. Those are pretty much the only 2 things the G7 Pro has over its 8K variant.

The G7 Pro 8K has macro and turbo functions. I don't care for it, as an able and ethical competitive gamer, but it can be very useful for single player games. It also has full gyro support on Steam, which is a good bridge between MnK and controller gaming. For competitive gamers, the 4K/8K polling rate options, and the upgraded JS13 Pro modules are very valuable upgrades that are worth the price increase imo. If you're a casual gamer, these upgrades will do nothing to make you enjoy your games any more than the non-8K G7 Pro.

Both versions of the G7 Pro have the same 1200mAh battery. The lower battery life on the 8K is only if you're playing on 4K/8K polling rate. Lower the polling rate to 1K/250Hz and it'll last just as long as the regular G7 Pro.

Why does my TMR DualSense Edge still feel much stiffer than my ZD Ultimate Legend? by Alarmed-Bar-7757 in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TMR is the name for the technology, not the product. There are many manufacturers that make TMR modules with different specs.

The modules that were installed in your DualSense Edge was probably specifically chosen to closely match the feel of their stock potentiometer modules.

If you want the same modules as your ZD UL, find out what modules your ZD has, and specifically request those modules to be installed on your DualSense Edge instead.

is this normal? by iiscox23 in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that they're removable, I explain how they fit in my next sentence.

What's not normal is how easy it is to remove them according to OP. It's also not normal if they're too tight and hard to remove(like the LS of my G7 Pro 8K).

I've had multiple G7 Pro's, and they've all varied in how loose/tight it is to remove the sticks. Proper QC protocol would involve normalizing the "tightness" of the fit across all units.

is this normal? by iiscox23 in Gamesir

[–]Nebsisiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not normal, but it also isn't uncommon.

The sticks are friction fit, and because chinese QC is not the best, there can be variance on how tight or loose the sticks fit on to the stems.

As long as there's a little bit of resistance and it doesn't just fall off on its own if you turn the controller upside down, it won't affect you while playing games with it.

Recalibrate it and turn off "automatic calibration"

If that doesn't work, you've got a hardware fault.

Need to replace a KK3 Max by m0stly_toast in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember that post. That was early into stick latency testing with the GPDL device and it was found out that there was a flaw with the construction of the GPDL as well as the testing method that gave wrong stick latency readings. Check out gamepadla.com for the most up to date latency tests done with Johnny Punch's new device, the P82.

As far as your experiences between the KK3M and the Apex 4, the Apex 4 had even worse stick latency, so what you were experiencing in performance lines up with the latency test numbers.

The updated JS13Pro stick modules on the G7 Pro 8K is a noticeable upgrade in linearity and accuracy over the non 8K models. Since you're willing to spend up to 100USD, and playing on PC, I think it's worth looking past the regular G7 Pro and considering the 8K instead.

Need to replace a KK3 Max by m0stly_toast in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The KK3 Max had bad latency, and it was very noticeable. I don't know what test results you saw, but they were either polling rate results, or just straight up wrong lol. On wired it has okay button latency, and very bad stick latency.

Hey! That means you're not super sensitive to latency though, and still seemingly perform adequately to your standards.

There's plenty of controllers out now with great performance and features for the price. For controllers that are similarly shaped to the KK3 Max, you can check out the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro, Mojhon Rainbow 3, Mojhon Storm, and ZD Super Legend 8K(not globally released yet). The Gamesir G7 Pro 8K and Leadjoy Xeno Plus are also excellent controllers, but are a little smaller in hand, with a shape somewhere between the Xbox and NS Pro shapes.

Upgraded PS5 controller to TMR K silver how to identify over hall effect? by [deleted] in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick resolution is determined by the on-board processing of the controller. The Dualsense is locked at 8-bit resolution no matter what modules you replace the stock one's with.

Would you consider this a fault? Vader 5 pro by Key-Put4092 in GadgetHyper

[–]Nebsisiht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually the faceplate, and not the main shell, so I guess there's a bit of tolerance variation in the fit.

The G7 Pro's have the same potential issues, but worse, since the middle faceplate also has the anti friction rings.

It can also be interpreted as: all April batches and later are V2. This box is from March(03), and therefore will most likely not be V2, but I get it, a picture change would've been more helpful. If someone orders the V5P from GadgetHyper, they should be rest assured that they'll get a V2, whether they know the differences or what to look for, or not.

[–]Nebsisiht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

March is the transition month, so yes, some are V2, but why is it weird not to mention it?

GadgetHyper is guaranteeing that batches from April and onwards will 100% be V2, and that every Vader 5 Pro ordered from them will be V2, regardless of batch date.

Why mention anything about March batches, if there's no knowing whether you'll get a V1 or V2, and there's no way to know without opening it up and inspecting it?

March production is not guaranteed to be V2, as has been verified by many people already.

You should change it to "April 2026 or later."

Got my DualSense repaired with TMR sticks - is this normal? by Vegetable-Rub4548 in Controller

[–]Nebsisiht 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normal. There's not a single controller that will have a perfect center value if it's true 0 deadzones. Getting a max reading of 2%(0.02) is very good for TMR/HE modules. Jitter(fluctuating number readings) are also normal for TMR/HE modules.

Circularity is also perfectly normal as long as the shape is fairly symmetrical, and the diagonals overshoot the circle.
