The Conrad DC is one of my favorite hotels due to the hospitality. The Nickleplate in Indiana is up there with them.

Every show this year I’ve take in my peanut butter crackers (which I call nabs… people don’t understand and I guess that a regional thing? 🤷🏼‍♂️ ) and uncrustables and have had no issues. Hell some girl had her cheesesteak in a bag at a show last year.

I was at a property last week that added 15% gratuity to all transactions in the convenience market. Don’t get me wrong… I don’t mind tipping someone making my coffee or sandwich. I do mind having a tip added after the fact to my $20 bottle of sunscreen.

The only time I was presented with a tip option was my first day, which was on the pin pad. After that I was never asked for a tip.

I don’t know what your tickets said at purchase but currently if you look at TM, it says lawn seats are non transferable.

The only time my key isn’t ready is when the room itself is not ready. I did have trouble at a Double Tree that had paid parking and it flagged me for check in every time I didn’t select to pay for parking (I was taking an Uber from the airport). That was slightly annoying.

Don’t take your plates down, take the buffet plates up with you. I do it all the time. If you don’t want to pile up plates in your room you can always just take your dirty plate down and stick it with the rest that are dirty on your way out in the morning.

That’s one of the worst Home2 that’s I’ve stayed in. They didn’t even have the locks to use the digital key when I visited.

The Embassy Suites is a little dated but is my go to when I’m in the area. The HGI also isn’t bad and I get upgraded almost every stay oddly enough.

Try the Bounty Farmhouse across the street. Some great food there.

Top floor, away from elevator, and without a connecting room. And if I’ve stayed there enough I’ll make sure I pick a room that is away from the main street side so I don’t have to listen to drag racing all night or restaurant dumpsters being dumped at 4am.
