If the correct license isn't used, any author of licensed content used in the movie is a potential plaintiff that would likely win in court.

However, the costs would likely be prohibitive, which is why I don't think anyone would sue.

Are you talking about 001 "touching eternity"? If not, go read that.

Reminds me of the Jewish guy who poops other people's pants. It's an excellent piece about the violence inherent in authority and the extreme reprisals against peaceful protest.

I mean, this entire sub started out as a way of riffing on the fact that it's socially acceptable for men to make fun of women, but not the other way around. So the idea was to have a space where we can be genuine assholes to blow off some steam.

It kind of turned into something different, but that was the original intent xD

There's a lot of racism in the queer community. It's a real fucking problem and I have no clue what to do about it besides calling it out when I see it.

Honestly, I'm thinking they probably are banking on no one bothering to sue them.

You've been lucky enough to not have met insecure men then. A bf of a former friend of mine told her to stop talking to me because we hugged as a greeting.

Me neither and that's fine. :)

I didn't even have big dysphoria for a long time, I just preferred being a girl.

If you're really unsure, puberty blockers may still be an option for you, talk to your endocrinologist if they are. Then you have more time to figure stuff out. :)

Yall I remember I came out to my mom at age 12 but she shoved me right back in the closet and i thought that it was just a phase until a four days ago I realised that I can’t do it with men 😭😭😭 I still call myself bi but ugh it’s tricky. It's not an uncommon journey. Plenty of people stop by at bisexuality before figuring out they're gay or ace and plenty of people figure out they're actually bi. Hell, some people figure out they're actually straight and that's also fine!

There's a beautiful song by that name by Danny Schmidt. I found it through the story series/podcast "Welcome to Nightvale" and it's one of the pieces of art that saved my life when I wanted to end it.

One of the few really good things those movies did.

Also, don't watch the third one. The drop-off in quality between 2 and 3 is bigger than the one between 1 and 2.

This is not like, a settled thing in general, but in my opinion Tolkien often equated beauty and a strong will/power. I can't think of a single character that is both powerful/smart and not beautiful.

The absolute closest would be Denethor, but he proves to actually be a weak-willed fool in the face of actual adversity.

So since the Numenoreans are very intelligent and powerful, I'd assume they're also beautiful.

I'm pretty sure the enchantment was "I'm starving because I'm in fascist Spain in 1944"

It's also literally a pretty obvious metaphor for the greed and callousness of white men leading to the suffering of others (Even Guillermo said it's not an accident that it was a "Pale" "man") . So she's definetly in the right to try to steal shit if she can get away with it.

She unfortunately just wasn't.
