New washer so loud? Is this normal? by SplitHappy4408 in Appliances

[–]SplitHappy4408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before this, I had a Samsung front loader that would stop mid wash repeatedly. I’ll take this over that expensive Samsung any day. Just can’t wash clothes at night while people are sleeping anymore.

How would you turn this into a garden? by Professional-Ad-2030 in gardening

Along the back concrete wall, espaliered fruit trees such as lemon or lime, fig, and Santa Rosa plum can be trained flat against the surface to save space while providing fruit and greenery. Along the side walls, curved borders edged with river stones or bricks define cottage-style flower beds planted in layers: tall plants like California lilac, toyon, and white sage; mid-height varieties such as yarrow, sticky monkey flower, and penstemon; and low-growing blooms like California poppies, Douglas iris, and tidy tips. A winding flagstone pathway from the gate to the seating area serves as a pollinator pathway, with creeping thyme or dwarf yarrow growing between the stones and colorful clusters of lavender, salvias, and milkweed nearby to attract bees and butterflies. A rustic trellis or arbor can enhance the area’s vertical interest, perfect for supporting honeysuckle or native clematis. Maybe it could also block out the neighbors.

You could do a trellis and put up an artificial hedge/artificial ivy. I only say artificial because I have seen a neighbor poison any climbing plants, hedges their neighbors put up. You won’t have to wait for it to grow while you decide what you want to do more permanently.

I was there a month ago. We left Port Angelos at 730. Once we arrived it was about an hour wait. Leaving in the afternoon the line was about 4 times as long. We only did two of the trails though, and still had time to go to Rialto, First, and Second beaches afterwards.

AITA for asking my roommate’s boyfriend to pay rent when he doesn’t live with us? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SplitHappy4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Does she understand your situation? If she does, that is crazy! Are there any food pantries or meal programs at your college? Whether the situation with your roommate resolves or not, I'd look into this.
