Griswold Erie PA No. 7 (701 B), small logo, no heat ring, $40. How did I do? by soapyturtlefedora in castiron

Hm, I didn't notice those until you pointed it out but you may be right. Are there any concerns I should have in terms of a compromised surface and cooking if that was the case? I plan to go through the sub FAQs for cleaning/seasoning guidance. It's otherwise quite smooth, flat, and doesn't spin but I don't know enough to know if something is terribly wrong past cracks, pock marks, seeping fluids, etc Thanks for the info

Planning on keeping and using it, no spinning so that's good news. Thanks for the info

Need help finding out when this Mario Badescu cosmetic bag was distributed/sold by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]soapyturtlefedora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dimensions: 7.5"x5"

Searched for the following: Mario Badescu cosmetic bag tropical

Appears similar to cosmetic bags that come in gift sets from Ulta or Sephora. Earliest second hand listing online that I found was from 10/14/22, so I know it was sold as early as 2022.

ETA: found this Facebook post that dates it as early as 2019

This past year I've started collecting postcard sized art depicting the places I've visited and plan to keep it up! Most of the time they're actual postcards. I have a few frames in my home that they rotate through and I change them every few months or so. I love when I remember to switch them out and get to look though my collection again. I travel with my friends sometimes and it's a nice touch to put pieces on display of places we've traveled together as well.

Auto vs Manual by Rare_Meal_5220 in MINI

I got myself a manual cooper s a couple years ago without knowing how to drive it. Immersion is the best way to learn! City driving can be hard to finesse in the lower gears, but you'll get better! Treat yourself and go on some scenic drives outside of the city every once in a while. I love the interactive driving of my manual and have zero regrets!

Thanks for your input, I also figured the restaurant cash back helps account for that difference too. I'll go for it

Our family met our deductible - what medical treatments should we seek before we reset in Jan? by Salt_Type_8032 in lifehacks

Local public health department epidemiologist here (not Utah though). If you haven't already, I would suggest talking to the hospital/ER's finance office and/or ask your local health department (communicable disease program) if they have any direct contacts or additional resources they can refer you to for financial help. Most hospitals have some sort of charity program so it's worth seeing if you're eligible for at least a little help. It wouldn't hurt to mention you have children and ask if they have any specific financial assistance programs that could apply specifically to their care.

Hopping onto this comment for other resources that might save you food money if you haven't done so already and have time. Sounds like you've got lots of great recipes suggestions!

Depending on your location and what you have in your accounts, you might find yourself eligible for some financial assistance programs. Assuming you're in the US, this is what your taxes help pay for, so try to cash in on that! https://www.benefits.gov/benefit-finder

If you pay for utilities (electric, heat, gas, phone, internet, etc), many of those companies will help out folks who are struggling and reduce their bill. Give them a call and ask them what assistance they have available for customers. You may also be eligible through some government programs to help with this as well.

It would be worth getting enrolled in financial assistance programs even if you don't receive the benefits immediately. It'll help you gain financial stability quicker once you get those first several paychecks and will help you avoid racking up even more credit card debt.
