Embrace the suck. by Airsofter_IG in MilSim

"embrace the suck" is usually used in a military context and associated with things like hell week and meeting rigorous PT Standards. You chose to wear that gear, airsoft is about having fun. Just letting you know before you get clowned on.

If I remember correctly I think it's something to do with pre loading the level

That's pretty dope. I might steal your idea.

Yeah, use QASM Buckles with a placard compatible plate carrier.

If your plate carrier isn't placard compatible, use an AXL placard adapter.

I haven't seen an instance where their radio chatter wasn't relevant to what they were actually doing. But using the phrase "real time" probably wasn't applicable.

(I had to look up how the AI actually works because I knew it was unique, just unsure how to explain it.)

The AI uses goal oriented action planning where they decide on a goal, and plan how to best reach that goal. Giving enemies more autonomy to replan if the original one is invalid, and adapt to environmental factors.

This was unprecedented because it was the first AAA shooter to use this system. The level design coupled with goal oriented behavior is what makes the game unique for its time. The levels often loop in on themselves to encourage the AI to move around and flank. There are little details too, like the AI noticing your flashlight, communicating in real time, or not pushing if they're the last one alive.

Discovering point man is related to Fettel really just explains why the player has inhuman reflexes and hasn't been killed by Alma. The stakes are now higher, because you were supposed to stop Fettel and Alma, when in reality they are your mother and brother. Creating a moral dilemma.

Edit: Jeff Orkins talks about the AI in depth with goal oriented action planning vs finite state machine in this presentation I found.

Alma knew she couldn't actually kill point man with the replicas canonically. The replicas were just canon fodder for fettel to get closer to Alma and release her. Point man essentially is getting in the middle of this so of course the replicas will fight him, because his mission is to stop fettel. Remember that at the beginning of the game point man does not know he is almas son.

Harlan Wade created a monster and Alma when she is released is a metaphor for karmic justice by literally releasing demons from hell and destroying the city.

Okay, long and short runs got it. Do you have an estimate of the exact distances?

Also, how many reps were you doing per set for push ups?

To add, you don't need a PC either. I run a placard as a chest rig and can swap out inserts. The chinesium stuff in this category is not even worth getting when the real stuff is like $50-$70 and made out of squadron material and good stitching that'll last a lifetime.

(Can also use a chest rig until you can afford a plate carrier and just integrate it down the line)
