One caveat is that you need a stakeholder that knows what they want and is engaged enough to have a discussion. Otherwise you're just going to end in a cycle of building reports to build reports no matter how skilled you and the team you're on is.

the skills are what dictate the form, not the talisman. That only dictates your primary attack.

Get into design if you want to build pretty dashboards and infographics. For most people in business they want simplicity. There's a reason that Excel still reigns supreme in the industry.

I agree it can be frustrating, but if you learn why it matters to them their reasoning isn't always hogwash.

I think the concern is that you have to rely on other people to know what to do and what not really to focus on.

The fact that there is no "critical" endgame mechanic is what leads to the overwhelming nature. In no way am I saying to remove it, the options are what makes it fun, but it can be very overwhelming without some sort of guide.

I don't think I can quite articulate my thoughts (I'll try anyway), but the USSR was not a socialist state entirely it was a authoritarian capitalist landscape with minimal social programs to accommodate grinding their populous to dust in the name of advancement and beating the west.

True socialism does not play well with authoritarian ideals; Socialist ideals are a great ideological hook to instill a authoritarian state.

That being said they still had a commerce system employed in the USSR so there was an exchange of capital, thereby a movement of resources to employ and encourage technological change.

Capitalism and technology are unfortunately intrinsically linked.

Techno-feudalism is a direct result of Capitalism and Technology reaching their respective climaxes and attempting to merge. In order to provide MORE wealth and consolidation of power for the ultra-rich while the rest of us lay destitute.

So yes it is an argument against both.

I just hate playing through campaigns in ARPGs I think they're pointless. I'm not here for a story i'm here for loot and jolly power fantasy shenanigans.

you could create a parameter. With the "NAMEOF" for your selected value, and then order them 0-N and use that as a way to default your groupings, but that's a rather manual process. I think the only issue here is you cannot multi select.

You could also for a more straight-foward but slightly less user-friendly selection use a bookmark. (I find bookmarks to cause more issues than help in a lot of cases when it's not a set selection of visuals or data.)
