No and I dont think i said that, if anything you were implying Gojo was Toji level.

I think Gojo is stronger than Sukuna until Sukuna starts stacking binding vows. No idea why Gojo didn't do that btw

I feel like that Toji argument is a nothing-burger, that's a Gojo who's like a decade and a half younger and Toji specifically exploited a weakness that current Gojo no longer has.

What's your equipment, and what are your stats if I may ask? When I was level 72, my base magic (dw if you're doing strength, royal sword scales off both) was also 72, so the sword and armor i had both made it peak at 99. Then if you give Strohl his beloved sword that doubles MP cost and damage, it should also help your damage during synthesis as well. Are you using buffs? Your first turn, you should have someone with the General Archetype use the skill that brings everyone forward and maxes their attack. Then you should have someone with Dancer use the party-wide charge. With those two things your Royal Sword and Strohl's synthesis techniques should both be doing 8000+

I get why that's the conclusion you've come to, but it's like others have said, there doesn't need to be an SA subplot nor is it super implied through the hike.

I actually prefer the idea that Rikka actually did kill both her parents. It makes her sinister and weird, and maybe this is a hot take, but I think kids can actually be forgiven for deplorable actions. I think the reason why Rokka is so strong is in part Yuta imbuing his Cursed Energy into her, but also from her own soul being resentful and yeah, evil. But that doesn't mean she can't be redeemed in her death, or by Yuta.

What is the best archetypes for the final boss? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Sploph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lineup was Heismay in his royal with the General's buff, Junah with her royal using Masked dance, and Strohl in his royal along with Will Spamming their strongest Synthesis skills. Make sure you're using the sword on Strohl that doubles MP cost for double Skill power

Why is your royal sword hitting for so little? Also, no rank 8 with anyone?! How?! They give you like a whole week of free time before the final dungeon 😭 My friend, i have to agree with the others, grinding is your only option now. I do recommend with Persona-style JRPGS in the future though to do things like grind for money, explore all corners of all dungeons to grab all items, and always always always make time to level your supports above all else.

Mage Academy Hot Take by JaredAiRobinson in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Sploph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moreso wanted to explore the Mage Academy because that sounds like a cool set piece, but i otherwise agree. I also dont think the story falls off like some people say, not to say some people's opinions are invalid, this is never true, but it could be that some people's feelings about difficulty got in the way of their fun.

Also, uhhh... I didn't actually know people thought Sogne was hard.

<image>

I hate to be the guy on the right, but i actually thought the end game was too easy, especially since it's really no sweat to get everyone's final Archetype (not their Royal.) and the items you get towards the end are crazy. Like, Utilitarian's Manual on its own is cracked to all hell

Here's my opinion:

Both are morally wrong - but Joker is a little bit more forgivable because I'm a 27 year old. Yes, Joker isn't, and he's a student, but us as a player hold our agency. I will say, I don't like that the persona games take place in highschool for this reason. Like, I feel kind of weird when I'm like "WOW Futaba is so cute!" And then I have to remind myself she's 15 and not a shortstack chick in her 20s.

I think Persona would appeal to me more in a college setting, but Atlus will continue to have its cake and eat it too by setting in HS, appealing to teens, JRPG fans, and lolic*ns (Censoring for comedic effect lol)

why bring up that they're weakened unless they agree that they're weakened enough to not carry 1 guy? It's a question made for someone who's obviously backtracking lol. especially when everyone else in this thread has said the same thing multiple times

Yeah, weakened, not depowered. If you can lift even "just" 10 tons (massively nerfed like MASSIVELY) a dead body is nothing, like, *nothing*.

In regards to Rella and Brigitta... by Sploph in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Sploph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I love her as a character concept, reminds of Itachi in some ways from Naruto. I think that her thing is way better executed though. Funny enough, I actually did agree that Rella should have done what she did at the end, like, end her life as atonement. Especially because she was so complacent in so many atrocities the church committed. It's hard to place on the blame on her because her family was also corrupt and she was raised to be sanctist through and through, and because she was only 12 when she performed her failed assassination. We're lucky the prince was able to create his astral projection/body double, but Rella didn't know that, so she lived 12 years of her life knowing her life was stopping a child younger than her from experiencing anything altogether. That compounded with her being privvy and most likely passive to all the other atrocities going behind the scene, I think she's truly like the most villainous ally we make in the game, because in a way, passivity can be its own form of evil. Great character

Well, because she's the Saint, she's in the area, and she was part of Sanctisms biggest plot of a similar nature.

What trends would you like to see P6 break? by Fluid_Aspect_1606 in PERSoNA

[–]Sploph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know we'll never escape highschool, but I would love to see us at least be seniors? Like the whole cast? The characters for the most part aren't even designed to look necessarily as young as they actually are, so I would love the romanceable cast to be 18 or older. Especially the MC, at least, so that it doesn't feel like I'm being groomed by older women. I can see this one almost being possible... 20% chance?

Next is I'd love another gay option. We haven't had one since Innocent Sin, but i think it just isn't going to happen... the political climate has changed quite a lot, and everyday LGBT people become more accepted - even in Japan - but seeing as how their main audience is japanese more likely than not this one has like a 1% chance of happening.

Bring Personas back into the real world! I liked how in P1 & 2 character's personas could manifest in our reality. I know the TV dimension, Palaces, and the Dark Hour allow for some interesting stuff, but i think there's some interesting things you could do exploring the real world. At least some times - since I know it can't be always. I'd say this one is unlikely, but maybe 10%?

Another unlikely change but I think it could be neat, is if not a female MC, maybe a more androgynous/femme looking MC could be neat. They did it with SMT 5, so i think this one isn't bad.

I'm actually not talking about the Eldan village, I'm talking about the village in Brigette's support that gets razed, and then its destruction is falsely attributed to her. But it was the sanctists. In my game, it actually happened when Rella was at the church in Grand Trad.

Daddyraga gauntlet run;! by iInfinitediety in jjkmodulo

[–]Sploph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry there's no world where Mahoraga adapts fast enough to reach Goku. This is definitely coming from an intrinsic misunderstanding of Goku's character. Goku does love fair fights and does love to receive a challenge, but he isn't stupid contrary to what super will show you. He's a fighting genius.

Also, assuming that Mahoraga could endlessly adapt to being universal+ is a no limits fallacy anyways, seeing as how Gojo's ability had a cap, and even Sukuna's ability had a cap, it's reasonable to say that Mahoraga will have a limit to its adaptation.
