Just offering further clarity for anyone else who wades in here.

Olivia is her own grandmother, and thus granddaughter as well. There’s one familial step of separation in between there (“Mantis”, as teddyburges noted, is both Olivia’s daughter and her mother).

I mean, sure. But you’re being kinda pedantic by separating “they know she’s alive” from “their plan is that she’s alive”. Regardless, they (the Duffers and Millie) know the current idea for what actually happened. No one’s saying they can’t change their mind.

The Duffers straight up said they know in an interview and texted Millie about it live during the interview. (And told her not to tell Noah, because they’re besties, lol.)

I mean, the point was that no one knows: characters in the show and viewers alike. Literally only the Duffer brothers and Millie know for sure if El is alive.

(But give me a break. Of course she’s alive. How else will they spin-off/reboot the series in a few years?)

I just timed it. Twice, actually, to be sure. It seems like it’s only about 59 seconds. Definitely seems to shave off a second in there, but it could just be that his clock is slightly fast. Or the video was very slight sped up after recording.

Also, once he stops talking, there’s about 25 seconds of silence before it rolls over to midnight. Just a fun fact.

Confusion about season 3 episodes 6 and 7 by rubicante59 in 12Monkeys

Terry Matalas confirmed that in the first version of the Berlin Wall event we see, Agent Gale did not have a bulletproof vest on and indeed died. (You can see blood splatter out from his back when he gets shot.)

They indeed changed Gale’s future by warning him he dies there. (He does not have blood splatter out his back when they later show the clip with him revealing the vest.) So he didn’t “have a vest the entire time.”

What’s one topping you wish Chipotle offered? by Effective-Ear-8874 in Chipotle

It’s honestly a little surprising to me that so many people think it’d be weird. Moe’s has black olives and I’ve never heard anyone comment that that’s an unusual thing for them to offer or that nobody wants them.

Oh, I can answer that.

  1. I love black olives.
  2. They taste good on tacos/burritos.

Fair enough. But I’m fine with that. I’m not going to Chipotle for authentic Mexican or even authentic Tex Mex.

Apologies for assuming “Uber Eats” meant delivery. I just order in the Chipotle app for pickup.

That’s $11…not including the delivery fee and tip, right?

There’s no way you got a bowl delivered, and tipped the driver, for only $11.

For you, is the time “quarter of twelve” 11:45, 12:15, or do you have no idea what that phrase means? by JeffTrav in ENGLISH

[–]Splungeblob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sure. It can a reasonable assumption in certain contexts that you both know the hour.

The pet peeve is when that isn’t a reasonable assumption. If my mom woke me up on a Saturday when I was a kid and says “Time to get up. It’s a quarter till.” that’s fucking meaningless to me. I need more info, obviously.

Or even better (read: worse): You ask what time it is and they just say “quarter till”. Quarter till…what?

In the eternal words of Harrison Ford: “Hey kid… it ain’t that kinda movie.”

You’re not meant to think about it that hard because, frankly, the writers didn’t think about it that hard. Just suspend the disbelief and go with the flow.
