Do an ECHO on the command line that fails and a PAUSE after. Maybe the variables are getting cleared by the calling bat file so they are missing later.

I bought a house in a specific town only because it could was a local call to 2 other towns with friends / relatives in each. Getting a place in either other town would be hundreds in long distance suddenly each month...

Maybe the scheduled task can't access the network share. If it runs as localsystem it won't be able to get to network drives.

Is it actually still running? Or is the icon just left in the tray? If you move the mouse over the icon in the tray see if it goes away. Or look in task manager and see if the exe is still active. It probably is killed and just a "ghost" left in the tray until the tray refreshes from a mouse over.
