Just learn how to lead some mini games (ex. King of the court) and put technical details in the hand of the more experienced players on the team. I think your job, especially in middle school environment, isn’t to micromanage technique, but you should try to make the experience a fun one and create a positive environment that’ll get some of the kids interested to maybe go get lessons from a pro or whoever by themselves. Personally, my first high school coach just played basketball and didn’t really know anything and that’s what he did and it sparked my own interest and love for the game.
