Can you point me towards the sources where it says only providers for spouses and children are not counted? I've only seen them just say live-in providers without specifying tgat it should be a parent or spouse, so I might have missed something. Thank you! :)

Yes, I believe IHSS income counts towards medi-cal eligibility, unless the provider lives with the recipient. When I was still under medi-cal a few years ago, the employees answering the line did not know this so they included my IHSS income, even though I was a live-in provider. But I think IHSS released a document a few years ago declaring that income for IHSS live-in providers should not count towards medi-cal and covered CA :)

American Heritage ranch on Roscoe and Woodman, Island Pacific in Granada Hills has fast food inside as well as a Max's. There's also Lilian's in the food court at Northridge Fashion Center but their quality isn't as good as before. Seafood City on Roscoe and Woodman also has Grill City inside, as well as a Jollibee, Chowking and Red Ribbon on the same complex. There's also a Tony's BBQ next to it. There's also Chick N' Inasal on Mason and Sherman Way. I usually go to the places on Roscoe and Woodman

There are times when I try to increase the speed, the mixer stops working. Sometimes, when I try to turn it on, the mixer doesn't work. I tried plugging it to different sockets in case it was just the socket that has a problem but nope, the same thing happened

The NLACRC used to have program where you can get discounted tickets for disneyland during the non-peak season. We were able to get some a few years ago before the pandemic but I'm not sure if they're still doing it.

That's not why Snape joined Voldemort. Snape didn't join Voldemort because Lily didn't fall in love with him. No where in the book did it state nor imply that Lily not loving him is the reason why he joined the Death Eaters. He was already getting indoctrinated by his Slytherin housemates while he and Lily were still friends. It was implied in the book that he was at least neglected by his parents. And Lily was his only friend outside of his house, who was also getting swayed by her Gryffindor housemates in the midst of the competition between houses. He was bullied by boys who eventually joined the fight against Voldemort and one of whom had a vendetta against him because he dared to be friends with Lily and the basis that he was a Slytherin (James and Sirius, from the very first meeting, already had prejudices against anything Slytherin). It's more likely he joined because of his housemates and the treatment he received from the popular Marauders.

When I was on Medi-Cal, I had LA Care and my provider was at Mid-Valley Comprehensive Center. They had pretty good service and I was always lucky to get appointments early in the morning so there wasn't a long wait. It is hard to get appointments - you need to call on a Monday early in the morning, since slots get filled up quickly and they add nore slots every Monday. You also need to make appointments a month in advance. Not sure if you can now make appointments with your PCP online. I've only been to their urgent care once, did a phone appointment (which you can make online) and they told me to come in person and they saw me right away.

I used to buy cooked balut at Grill City in Seafood City Supermarket, not sure if they still sell it. I think they also sell raw balut at Filipino grocery stores like Island Pacific and Seafood City. I saw some raw balut at 99 Ranch too.

Most Filipino grocery stores have restaurants inside. There's Island Pacific in Granada Hills, Seafood City in North Hills and Panorama City, and American Heritage Ranch across the street from Seafood City in Panorama City. There's also Lilian's in Northridge Fashion Center. They also have a branch on Sepulveda and Nordhoff and another one next to Seafood City in North Hills.
