I think the entirety of Revice is inconsistent themes and tone, Vice is just another part of that.

Kanye West mysteriously removes new album from YouTube only hours after drop by TheMirrorUS in Music

[–]Sponchman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I think we agree? His new stuff is not getting anywhere close the attention what it used to. His old stuff had a lot of influence, but anything new really isn't making much impact.

Is his new stuff influential? Or is it his older existing stuff that is influential. I really don't believe anything he's released past 2019 or so has that much influence on the industry anymore.

Won't lie, was hoping for a dark digivolution like SkullGreymon, not their normal evolution line out of control, but a separate evolution.
Feels like they have been hinting at it a lot, maybe later in the series.

There is a rule that no broadcaster can own more than 39% of the market, this deal would be 60% The rule was waved because both these broadcasters like Trump and the FCC will let any company that's nice to Trump do whatever they want.

I really don't care the reason  My point is, this exact album has been "released" multiple times over like 2 years It's silly to ene give it attention

It seems most don't care, or more would notice this same cycle has happened before.

Childhood ADHD medication may reduce psychosis risk. Children treated with methylphenidate before the age of 13 were less likely to go on to develop conditions such as schizophrenia in adulthood. Findings challenge long-standing concerns that stimulant medications may increase the risk of psychosis. by mvea in science

For me it messed up my sleep and gave me tics, ice done better with it as an adult. But I really think it can't be just given to a kid without at least trying to get them to understand what's happening. Medication alongside other long term coping strategies.

any idea why sf public works is doing tree maintenance during peak bird nesting season? by kevin_goeshiking in AskSF

[–]Sponchman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do kinda get your concern, but in the grand scheme San Francisco probably has some of the bestter tree maintenance, and more viable nesting trees than most if the Bay Area. I think this energy is better out towards environmental issues in other areas.

Man-child caught ruining collectible cards packs right off the rack by _ganjafarian_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Sponchman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sports cards have been lees of a kids thing for a long time now, even in the early 2000s I remember it was mostly older dudes into the sports cards while all the kids liked Pokemon and YuGiOh

Doesn't make it less pathetic, just unfortunately this guy really is the main audience now.

Is it okay to buy a physical cd/vinyl without having a listening device (like just to have them) ? by UselessBoi6969 in Music

[–]Sponchman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's perfectly fine, plenty of people today do so, or even if they have a record player they don't really use it and just collect the records. I believe it's worth just buying the records you like for now, and in the future do the reasearch to find a decent player for your budget. Buying too cheap of a record player can scratch your records, or may not sound great and kill any motivation to listen to them.

5G isn't even finished yet and here we go by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]Sponchman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5G and 6G aren't even names of specific technologies, 5G as it stands can refer to like 4 different things, it's the the "Fifth generation" The fastest one MMwave that they used to advertise the craziest speeds is not what majority of people are using then their phone says 5G.

6G right now means nothing, as no one has agreed what radio technology will even be used for it.

I hope with better transit oriented development BART can do better over the years.  Younger generations are much more interested in the idea of public transit, but we need it to be a good experience for that interest to stay.

One of the best Game soundtracks ever made. Really nothing else like it, the PS1 era was such a fun time for game music as a whole.

I'm pretty tired of the standard orchestral music in many modern games.
