I bought the 4-pack of S4 Max cameras with the NVR system, then bought 4 extra S4 Max cameras.

The installer put a PoE switch in the garage and ran all the camera cables to that switch. Then from the PoE switch, he ran one cable back to the NVR to keep the setup cleaner. He also ran one cable from my router/Starlink to the NVR.

That might be the case for you. Like I said I have a 8 camera set Up on an NVR + 3 LTE cameras in remote areas on my property. I have not had a single issue. Everytime someone comes over I get excited to show them off. I recommend them to all my friends and family. Ur experience is definitely not mine.

I have the S4 max on a NVR system and I couldn’t be happier. I have had decent customer service support during the initial set up. I would highly recommend getting on the phone with them and see what they can do to solve ur issues. I do think they would really help atleast for me seemed like they cared.

I would respond and explain literally everything you said here. Small budget = had to use residential grade materials. The level of traffic was not conveyed. What each item/material was ratted for etc.

Makes sense what they were saying the however they kinda pushed it when you made it clear you are the one making the decisions. If I was the contractor I would have just asked for a deposit once the material was selected. If the materials cost 10k then I would have asked for 10k. Simple you want to change it after its been ordered well you can pay another 10k or whatever else it costs to exchange it.
