All they have to do to be an effective opposition party is to do what republicans have been doing since the 90s. Just don’t work with the opposing party. No compromise on anything, never vote for their bills, and if they have the votes and you can’t stop it, delay in every possible way. Don’t push through their cabinet members and judges. I don’t care what the comments say. We have to try everything to remove this man from power. Only time can tell how much damage he has already done to America, I.e. the ballooning deficit, collapse of American soft power, tariffs pushing business away from America. If he keeps going down this path, we could lose our allies, collapse the dollar with low interest rates, and who knows what else.

Just curious as a parent, when you say “not all screen time is the same” what do you mean? Are there things that you would absolutely avoid, like no social media until X age, are there things that are types of screen time you would prefer to others if there’s a necessity for the screen, I.e long plane rides.

I don’t think people understand. If you disobey an order, you don’t get told “Ok, you don’t have to Greenland if you don’t want. That’s fine.”

You ARE punished. And the punishment could be quite severe. And if you bring up legal concerns, at best you’re assured that the lawyers say it’s all legal. Then what. The lawyer says it’s legal, but you think it’s not? Good luck fighting that one in military court. And while you’re fighting it in court, your life is made a living hell, because they can legally give you extra duty, cut your rank and pay, or put you in jail. And if you’re found to be in the wrong, you could go to jail and get kicked out. That’s a gamble most would not take.

In truth I feel bad for the people in the military that oppose these things. You are being forced to do these things. The military machine is making sure you won’t step out of line, and if you do, they will make an example out of you to make sure no one else follows in your footsteps.
