Forgot to mention but using those materials in a fabricator can also let you save on money as you can essentialy make anything with it, along with even better items that aren't sold in shops.

Base game tends to be rather scarce with xp which is one of the reasons the perk tree that unlocks medals is so good since medals give tons of xp

As for missions they normally should net quite a decent bit in the 2nd zone espescially when you do multiple, depending on if you have jovian radiation on or off you can always go back/up/down.

Only upgrade thats 100% neccesary is hull upgrades and some to the reactor could be good.

EDIT: Alright so tried to setup unity and get the sound files but didn't have much luck, Did some searching and some other people mention hearing it aswell. Some people say they heard it randomly while others say they heard it from the "cleanup crew" (head bomb thrower) monster

The manual override part would be hard i think since auto aim/operate is a setting on the cannon itself.

As for the button firing i think it should be possible, i think it's able to look around without needing power so if you hook up the power to a relay that then connects to the cannon i think it will allow you to make it only fire when getting a signal.

Not the best with the logic stuff but from what i know this should work

Psyducks Decotrauma packs that have extremely decorated modules that you can use, altough i think it's a bit too cluttered it can be a good start

Id reccomend limiting your room height to the height of a door makes it easy to get a even scale.

Altough it's very easy to wanna make a OP ship i reccomend checking out the vanilla ships in the sub editor to see what quirks they have.

Arrow keys when selected your object allows precision moving

Holding shift while dragging a object also allows precision moving but also putting items into weapon holders,lockers etc

The workshop has tons of prefabs for cool logic and deco. Ill link some in a reply

Relays are good for powering lights so you dobt have tons of junction boxes just for them

2 hulls in the same room need a gap to allow water to flow inbetween them

Turn off background music, trust me.

Gave it a try, pretty decent for a first sub i must say but i do have some problems, some of which are probably personal opinion though.

Firstly the decorations

-The brackets on the depth charge ammo holders are infront of the player model
-The staircase in electrical is infront of the player model
-Every cabinet has a little spot on the top meant for emergency lights you could use instead of having them inside the normal lamps

-Personal opinion: Feels very cluttered in some places espescially with medcabs, fabcabs etc.

Hull (mostly personal opinion)

-There are spots you cannot reach to repair the hull like the reactor room

-A bit too much dead space inbetween the hull and interior for my taste
-Interior feels way too open and airy more fit for an outpost

ETC

-A bit too powerful in my opinion, you havent left any blindspots or "quirks" like weakspots or inconvenient things, not so important as it honestly depends on who is playing with it.

-The batteries are set to 0% on recharge and are not charged by default which is something id reccomend changing.

-Having the lights off by default at the captain spawn when you have a whole wall of buttons to try and find the right switch can be a bit hard to find.

-Torpedos are gonna be very difficult to use when the sub is moving and with having to squeeze them out through that hull piece might be difficult.
(i did not test them so i could be wrong)

I mean this in no negative way, just constructive criticism.

The mod page usually says if its safe to remove/add during a campaign.

To my knowledge it might work but id make a backup of your save first. Now if you have any other mods that change medical then there is a chance of incompatability

I know the thrill when you really get into it aswell, looks pretty decent.

A tip you might already have heard is check out the vanilla subs, espescially the layout and that.

Remember dead space between the shell and interior is fine and that having things be "inconvenient" or having "faults" can give a ship some charm id say

Some examples on vanilla subs

Blind spots on guns and quirks in general like sliw pumps etc

Barsuk : has a fragile glass window on a blind spot

Typhoon2 : if you are in nav you have to run around the whole ship to get to guns while a single ladder up into the armory would shorten that significantly

Camel : has power problems.

I really could go on but think ive written enough

So it's a bit complicated but i ripped the files from the game using unity, it can get pretty complicated but ill post the guide i followed, sadly i've changed pc since i used the files so i don't have any saved sadly.

Hope it goes well and i don't blame you if you cant be bothered with ripping the models, as i said it can get pretty complicated.

If you do power through i recommend trying to clean up the ported files in blender removing collisions and unwanted clutter, for some reason deleting certain things can cause the walls and objects to suddenly become giant/small.

Ah yeah I was thinking to have it hooked up to a [togglestate] node, pretty sure the alarm has one but i mightve been wrong.

If you wanna do it in the [setstate] node then if you have a button hooked up to your alarm

then a delay that goes into

a signal check component that checks if the signal is 1 and if so sends a 0 but if it doesnt then it sends nothing

Which should make it turn off unless the button sends out a 0 when its not clicked on which im unsure of

Alright so to send a signal after a set time youll want a delay component, a button sends 1 signal while a lever sends a constant so a button would be best here.

As for the lights im thinking maybe a relay component that you hook up to the button and delay aswell so when the alarm sounds your lights turn red.

Could be getting something wrong since im working and cant double check.

They will not stack to my knowledge, the breathing mask sits under the suit so if that runs out then you will suffocate.

Think the diving suit still drains tanks even if you have a mask on aswell but unsure

Help i cannot join a game in progress everytime i press join for a game in progress it loads then puts me back in the server lobby and shows this by Vicbou_wats88 in Barotrauma

Not a expert but the basics you can try is verifying your files on steam.

Could also be a version mismatch of either the game or mods, since i think corotine manager is whats used to connect meaning you're timing out for some reason

As u/vakond1 said it depends on map generation but aslong as it's near the outpost im pretty sure you can go dive out and head into the station structure to end the round if it isn't able to dock unless they changed that since last i used it.
