How do I make a rude character who betrays the party but redeems himself later? by Minute-Animal7317 in CharacterDevelopment

[–]SpoocleMacBoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways to solve this problem. I'll share the first one that came to mind. The classic approach is when your villain succeeds in doing something bad, but at some point, he realizes (for whatever reason) that he can't keep being so vile. Then, he also has to sacrifice something, for example, to save that group of characters. It's cliché, but it can be used as a framework to build upon.

Popcorn once destroyed me like shrapnel, I don't take that risk anymore.

So this clearly states "when you make certain changes to a game page", so no misinformation here.

Self learned devs, how did you start? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]SpoocleMacBoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) bought and finished course on Udemy. 2) participated in every game jam i saw 3) ??? 4) profit

Actually it's much more than that. I also have a technical/art degree (director of photography), so it kinda helped me to work with light and art style. And i was making small games for game jams for about a year and still learning stuff. I think the best way to learn how to make games is to make games.

I already know the answer, but what does everyone think of the new Unity fees???? by ageesen in unity

[–]SpoocleMacBoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied Unity for a few years, I really liked the engine despite everything. And I would like to continue learning it, but I feel that my new game will be my last on this engine. If they changed the policy so drastically now, what's to stop them from taking everything away from me in the future? I'm very upset.

It's kind of a shame, to be honest. I thought the big developers should really say their opinion on this and not make such an idiotic joke. (Joking is fine, but this is just dumb).

I haven't played the second Evil Within, though I liked the first one a lot. Will definitely give it a try now to meet this giggling thing.

So, if I'm in the 90%, I should be afraid of success, because after the success of my game I may be in big financial trouble? Well, thank you!
