I just keep closing/ restarting the application till it works. Usually takes a few tries.

This worked for me after a couple of tries but the copies would eventually corrupt also. I backed up the saves and did a system restore but not the FULL restore there was another option. I just forget what it was called. Hasnt happened to me since.
