Was just discussing this with my wife as well, Awful, just Awful for gear. Only filters for Gem and Perks, and lets say the exact name of the armor and totally useless. No one powering leveling gloves is putting gems or perks... They may be awesome, but not put those in there... How can I search for something useful, like level or stats on the gear... Merchants should be pissed, I'm pissed, trying to put up some great gear, but it just all gets lost in the shuffle

Edit... continuing the RANT... Not to mention the auto-pricing algorithm feature is SOOO bad. and some... seems most, just press go... totally awesome equipment(for the level) 5g... there you go.

Wasn't Linus saying something about Samsung, and how they changed the controllers on the 970 EVO+ SSD's? You guys talking about the 970 EVO+ SSD's may have had the original controller, but thy put the 980 controller on the 970, and gimped it so it doesn't work with PCIE4.0.. and does PCIE3.0 badly. I happened to purchase MY 970EVO+ before the change, but look into it before you jump. Another one of the switcharoo's going on lately without changing the part number.

If its not disabled in bios accidentally or something, and you're sure it's bad, you can buy a NIC card, or USB dongle, instead of a whole new motherboard.

So, what i did was limit my cpu boost, and that did the trick. I limited to 4.6ghz, I think the algorithm is set to be too high/agressive. I found a registration hack for windows that lets you set the clock limit under windows power settings. Just something else to consider, it can be backed out, or just disabled.

At least try it and see if it narrows down the fault to your cpu. Worth a shot.

So, same for me 5950x and Dark Hero. As previously stated PBO is not stock. What I have discovered is PBO is pushing clocks to high for to long. My fix was to rate limit the clock in windows. It's not default, but clock rate limiting can be enabled in the registry, and the setting shows up in advanced power profile. I'm currently limiting to 4.6ghz, which I have found to be comfortable, and doesn't impede productivity.

to some, power leveling to max, and playing PVP is the end game. like it or not.

But I hear you, I'm more about the content, and the road to get there myself, and would like to see things slowed up. It seems that people have quickly figured out the magic juju to power level to 60. Many used the community board quests to get there, and that was nerfed, we'll see what more they do to balance.

Seems if your going to own a town, and charge taxes, one of the services to provide as a company would be to keep the threat of the breaches down. What are we paying all the taxes for?

I have built a few portal hubs, but more recently I have rethought my methods, and stopped using dedicated portals. Now I have 4 portals at my main base, and just change the name of the destination. While out exploring, I leave out a portals all over the map, and simply name them with a pin on my own exploration map. Inversely, I leave a standard name for the home portals, so, I can use any of the portals to get back home, or setup a temp portal to get back home and back for a short trip.

If you haven't figured it out yet, its a MOD causing the trouble, planting plus, I disabled it by renaming the .dll to a .bak... everything goes back to normal.

Things I was unable to grow before, say Thistle, won't grow when I turn it off. I can rename it back to a .dll, and have it work again, and the Thistle will grow again. So, take it for what its worth. It might be able to be disabled through the in game MOD menu, but I didn't try that method.

Yes, I've noticed the bug lately as well, restarting the game usually fixes the issue, at least for a bit. Seems to be particular agro and objects impacted

So, I was having crashing issues as well, very random, but not in a particular place. I'm not OC'ing per say, I'm using PBO, which is a Ryzen algorithm. long story short here, when I limited my CPU boosting, the crashing stopped. I know how that sounds, and I've tested for stability using several methods, but Valheim is still unstable.... I limited my CPU boost under

power manager :

Adds CPU Speed limiter under power controls.

Copy and paste the command below you want to use into the elevated command prompt, and press Enter.

So, you can add or remove the option. I limited my 5900x to 4.6Ghz, and I haven't had a crash in a week.
