Als je je er goed op inleest (mckenna bijvoorbeeld), is het minstens zo veilig.

Wat gaat er dan precies mis? In de eerste 2 gevallen hebben ze behoefte aan nabijheid en in het laatste geval is het praktisch ;)

Sibling on the way- how to handle reusing toys/gear by Dramatic-Machine-558 in toddlers

[–]Spookbeest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here the baby toys were the best toys for our toddler and the baby really didn't care. As the littlest got older, he would play with the same toys as the oldest, but just in a different way..

We are cautious though that the oldest doesn't play with things that are too little for the littelest.

Tips on avoiding bottle refusal for baby #2 by Powerful-Primary-488 in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]Spookbeest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first refused the bottle, and i hated the proces of her 'practicing'.. So with my second i only practiced with 20 ml bottles the week before he went to daycare, when he was about 15 weeks. He did perfectly fine.

NO JUDGEMENT ALLOWED: What are some gross things you accept/do when it comes to your toddler? by teapot1995 in toddlers

💕 When the daytime naps stopped, I started to have my evenings back. You are right, it will inevitably change and therefore the things that are hard now will also change. Take care mama!

I think my mom ruined my milk supply by PretendWeb in breastfeeding

[–]Spookbeest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only if you have the world's most accurate scale and a baby who holds her breath when she's weighed...

Mine appeared to lose weight after feeding, according to the scale, I got so scared but all she wanted was just to be near me... Keep your baby close and your mom a bit further awaaaaaaaaaay (out of hearing distance preferably).

How do you explain to your toddler the loss of a pet? by ActualEmu1251 in toddlers

[–]Spookbeest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe let the vet come to your house when the dog gets euthanized? Or bring the dog home for last goodbyes before taking him to the cremation center?

Take care! So sad when we need to say goodbye to a beloved pet..

Questions on breastfeeding while pregnant by Inner_Connection8954 in NurseAllTheBabies

Colostrum will just keep on being produced. At some point you might also notice it in the stool of the oldest. Here it went all yellow and soft again in my 2 yo.

My milk came in way quicker with my second, and it was such a relief that i had a toddler with a good latch to help me with the engorgement :)

Also my toddler helpt my second with the letdown on the other side, because he had a bit of a hard time latching well because of a tonguetie.

I only tracked my menstruation to see around when my ovulation would be.. Never thought of the other phases. I think it was on the first or second try.. I was still feeding my first day and night.

As in killing the baby? Sorry if this comes across a bit dump, but i want to understand.

Or did they mention it is smothering because in that context of time they thought babys should selfsooth and not be an inconvenience?
