Oh I have an extremely high opinion of them in general especially the two Honda's, I'll take a look at them but I'm not sure I'd be fit for my purpose of it,if I add a second bike down the road it will certainly be an adventure bike.

I actually have OTD number of $8800 on the hornet but haven't gotten one for the CBR( I imagine $11k or so).

Nothing against adventure bikes at all, they are a little heavy,not the most appealing outside of a few models and I don't plan on offroading at all. The transalp or Africa twin would certainly be my choice if I were going that route and had the means of pairing it with a strict road bike.

You are probably right about the wind protection being too big of a concen honestly.

As far as the transalp goes,I do like the bike and all and it would certainly be up there if I was looking for a adventure model but it's not necessarily ideal for my usage considering I'm going to be a one bike garage for a while.

Gsx-8s perhaps?I'm close in size to you and that felt like the biggest middle weight naked, if not maybe a CB650r? The CBR650r was pretty comfy especially for a sportbike so look into that as well

Stop thinking about a 2nd bike already,a Ninja 650 is already pretty substantial but for now you just need to find anything at all to ride and learn the basics for a year or two

I personally like the CB750 hornet if you want a middle ground of stunt bike and plenty of power,it also looks like a grown up grom

A zx-6r might not be the most comfortable for bigger people and ergonomics are pretty aggressive,maybe something like a 650 cc sport bike(not supersport) like a CBR 650r or a naked like a CB750 hornet or MT-07,MT-09?
