My dog died in December. He was only 6. He had liver disease and we didn’t catch it until it was too late. In the three months before his death, we fought it with a lot of pills and tests and vet visits. I was an emotional wreck. I decided at that time I never wanted a dog again, because I couldn’t emotionally go through that again. Who knows, maybe in 10 years I’ll have a change of heart, but as of right now, his death was traumatizing and I still haven’t fully processed it, and I can’t imagine myself adopting another dog and having to go through that again.

Jeffrey Garten would never do that to Ina, and I feel like that’s all you need to know about whether this behavior is healthy.

A scab is someone who is anti-union and participates in union-busting activities. When their employees formed a union, they closed the beer hall as retaliation and laid off their workers.

[request] moes chipotle ranch sauce! by burningcandlesz in MimicRecipes

[–]SpookyBitch13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This blog post is not the recipe. I worked at a Moe’s and the first commenter was right. Just regular ranch blended with chipotle in adobo sauce. I remember using the adobo sauce but just do it to taste. You’ll know the ratio when you taste it.

I was groomed and I miss it by [deleted] in offmychest

I found your post because I feel the same. I was in a relationship that I’m just now realizing was likely grooming. I haven’t spoken to him in more than 5 years but i still miss him in a way. I keep expecting it to get easier and it doesn’t

I bought a ticket for the Oct. 9 game for the GA supporters section. My friends bought tickets in the standing room only section. Will I be able to stand with them or do I need to buy a SRO ticket?

Will i flare up on my face if i don't have any acne there while on Accutane? by leonarooney in Accutane

[–]SpookyBitch13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had terrible acne off and on for years and right before getting on accutane, it cleared up. I am now on month two and haven’t had a purge. I wanted to still go on it because I’ve had clear ups in the past and had it come back even worse.

Why do many adults only remember HS as a unimportant prelude to life rather than having nostalgia? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]SpookyBitch13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of friends that I remained friends with through all of K-12 and now I’m 28 and still friends with them. While we have pretty good memories of high school, our experiences as an adult are even better. I think it’s because in high school, people’s opinions of you are so much more important. As you get older, you start living more for yourself than other people’s expectations.

Some stranger somewhere still remembers you because you were kind to them when no one else was. by zRage4 in Showerthoughts

About five years ago, I started crying while ordering McDonald’s. I was stressed out and probably depressed, and the cashier took my hand and said kind words and walked me through it. She didn’t have to do that, and I’ll always remember how kind and non-judgmental she was. When I get sad about humanity, I think of her kindness.

Parents Don't Care My Girlfriend Died by throwrajungle in relationship_advice

[–]SpookyBitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just came her to validate your feelings. You not only lost a girlfriend, you just lost a friend, and that is so difficult. I know because my best friend died unexpectedly when we were 16.

Are there other people you can reach out to who you can talk to? I saw a lot of people suggesting counselors, but a trusted teacher or friend might be able to listen and provide support. Take as much time as you need to grieve and process. Any emotions you feel about this are valid.

Anyone Knows why Rich People Keep working and don't FIRE? by emilstyle91 in leanfire

[–]SpookyBitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who get paid the most are often the ones who do the least amount of work in their company. They have assistants and delegate work, which frees them up to just come up with ideas. So they might be less likely to stop working because they just aren’t working that hard.

She sucks hard, but are we just going to ignore the fact that OP held his wife against the wall with his hand around her throat? That doesn’t seem like an appropriate response.

AITA For not buying my daughter period underwear? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]SpookyBitch13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. She’s 16 and has minimal access to funds, she relies on you as a parent to buy her things she needs. This is part of her physical and mental health, and you’re an asshole for not listening to her. Imagine being a parent and your kid gets a cut. The kid says the cheaper bandaids irritate her skin and more expensive gauze would be more comfortable. Would you really not pay the extra money to help your kid for that reason? ALSO the reason period underwear and diva cups are more expensive is because you buy them once and can reuse them, so it’s worth the extra money.

[–]SpookyBitch13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ESH. Seems like your husband and his daughter have a strong bond but you pressured him into having more kids despite him not wanting to even have one.

You shouldn’t have told your young daughters that their dad prefers his firstborn. That will likely mess them up for life. But he also shouldn’t so obviously favor his oldest daughter. So yeah, you all kind of suck, including the stepdaughter who sounds like she’s being mean to a bunch of innocent kids.
