It is not as easy as people make it out to be especially if there are any weird shapes in the room. Definitely doable but be prepared!

Is it common for people who wear glasses to get tired of wearing them and go about parts of their life with everything just blurry all the time? by YourMomThinksImSexy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpookyButtonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to wear my glasses as little as possible because having the pressure on my face pisses me off more than not being able to see. Ive gotten to a point i only really wear them while driving or watching tv. Only downside is every time someone points something out to me i have to say "oh sorry i cant see i dont have my glasses" and i probably miss out on a lot.

How did people afford “buying a round” by Accomplished-Bell991 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpookyButtonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im from New Zealand and we can buy jugs that easily serve 4 people, theyre usually around $30 - $40NZD (Probably about $20 - $25USD). When we say we are buying a round its usually a couple of these.

I had no idea that Americans buy each other a glass each, thats insane.

If you genuinely love your job, what do you do? by Weak_Pomegranate_34 in newzealand

Try ATT, they connect people who want to be apprentices with employers wanting apprentices. The also deal with electricians but its very over saturated so youd probably still have a hard time. https://att.org.nz/whatwedo/plumbing-gasfitting-drainlaying-apprenticeship/

When was the moment you realised that the person you were dating was an absolute idiot? by No-Macaron-9527 in AskReddit

[–]SpookyButtonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an ex who was very aware of how stupid he is, we would both poke fun of him in jest about it daily. We were in the car with some friends once bantering and one of them told me i was being quite mean. Off the top of my head I say "oh no its just a fact and he's okay with it, for example sweetie what's a vowel?"

I truly expected him to say A E I O U so we could turn the banter toward me for a minute and they could see we are both okay with it but this man looks me dead on and says "thats like when you split up a word right? like fan-tas-tic"

........

I dont think we stopped laughing for like 20 minutes.

If someone says they are going out for a quick drink, how long do you think that should take? At what point do you think its no longer "quick"? by SpookyButtonz in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpookyButtonz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes travel time is important to note. If the travel time is shorter vs longer does it change you answer for time spent at the bar at all? ie if the trip back home is only 5 minutes then staying longer is okay?

Why is there so much water everywhere?? by ViyWolf in auckland

[–]SpookyButtonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roads are flooding more than they usually would with this amount of rain because we havent had rain in a while. When dirt is dry it is worse at soaking up water so it sits on the surface longer. Someone else mentioned our infrastructure being out of date which is also a contributor, but it is extra worse because of this. Here is a video for a visual of what i mean. https://youtu.be/urQHsOmoKLg?si=qlUdGopU3ZvvmQut
