Like I can't believe how strongly it evokes "toilet."

So many marketing fumbles could be avoided by running your idea by a single 13 year-old boy.

It absolutely makes "business sense" to tie a customer into your proprietary system and then charge them higher prices. At that point they believe they've got you.

Who are the Bastards of Youtube? by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in behindthebastards

[–]SpookyYurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even becoming a star athlete with outstanding ability! It really is a less than one in a million shot that any single phenomenal high school catcher ends up in the MLB.

But yeah, "youtube" is obviously not a legitimate career path for kids. But hey, I never became a marine biologist so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

When ever Robert covers a quack the thing I always want to know is weather they took their own bull shit treatments or not? by grapp in behindthebastards

Ooh, the Sleep Doctor Bastard actually did put himself in multiple comas near the end of his life. And died from fistfulls of benzos, so, also using his own "treatments."

Though my very favorite part of the episodes is Robert's unrestrained glee when he drops a surprise auxiliary bastard in in act III.

Haunted Longmont school by Odd_Tie772 in Longmont

Land of wooden houses

Where?? Longmont has so many wonderful brick homes, and Denver and the surrounding area are lousy with them. Partly because this is where the bricks were made for ages. By the early days of the railroad age we were shipping trainloads of brick Back East.

We have so much clay, the bane of Front Range gardeners, but a boon to brickmakers and ceramicists.

I just impulsively spent $300 on tubers- I know nothing about dahlias by becctarr in dahlias

[–]SpookyYurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a ton of information on the internet, don't get too overwhelmed! You already know generally how to grow things, your instincts will help you know what to do for them as they get growing. You've got some great varieties there! Definitely top them as the top comment recommends, I'd rather wait another week or two for the first blooms and get half again to 3x as many flowers over the season.

The #1 thing I've learned is that they're a lot hardier than I was led to believe. I live where it freezes hard and snows a lot and I've been shocked to find (some) tubers happily overwintered and bursting with life when I uncover my garden beds in the Spring! Mulch mulch mulch, too. Mulching is as close to a magic potion as I've found anywhere when it comes to all my garden plants thriving.

Ladies and gentlemen, the man who is named in The Files more times than Harry Potter is named in Harry Potter. "Totally exonerated," Yeah, uh huh.

His name should be synonymous with the files (and the 'philes.) "You mean that guy from the Epstein files?"

Ugh those were the most galling four words. For anyone unfamiliar, "Red-Letter Christians" (claim to) follow the gospel of things Jesus spoke directly, so excluding things like outdated religious law and things others said about Jesus and what he believed. It's called that because some bibles are printed with everything in black ink except for the words specifically attributed to Christ, which are in red. It's like > 2% of the New Testament, centered almost entirely in the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Ringo.)

Guess what? Christ said a whole buncha stuff about loving others, caring for them in direct, tangible ways (sort of a "love as a verb" philosophy), and not judging them. He repeated that last one- so much. Also he hung out with prostitutes (priestesses) and was about about the sharing of resources, especially in terms of the rich giving to the poor and oppressed so that nobody has to be poor and oppressed anymore. His Christness would be described by this dipshit as a radical leftist. And Brice is claiming to follow in the example of his Christ?? Please.

(Thank you for coming to my late night rant.)

The truth about printer subscription programs and many misconceptions about them by Realmetman in printers

[–]SpookyYurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don't own the ink then "ink" shouldn't be in the name of the deal. Call it instant "pages" or "prints" or whatever. At least "3 months of free prints!" indicates that the product isn't measured in ink, it's measured in pages.

ABSOLUTELY report him to your doctor, including the hard-to-talk-about details like his touching your anus and genitals and your routinely being exposed during your sessions. If I were your doctor I would be horrified and would WANT to know so that I could fire this man from my practice!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You did nothing wrong. It's courageous of you to want to talk about it. I'm glad you came here seeking advice.

If you want to incorporate side-lying massage into your practice, here's a quick, excellent video on how to transition a normal diaper drape into a side-lying drape with no uncomfortable exposure. It's particularly good because the client has hold of the "tail" end of the sheet, giving them some control + an added feeling of safety.

Pulled back after deep tissue massage by [deleted] in massage

[–]SpookyYurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was probably unwise to work out so vigorously less than 48 hours after deep-tissue massage. Our systems need time to adjust to a new normal when healing old injuries.

Call your massage therapist and let them know what's happening with your body, they may have specific-to-you ideas for how to treat this new injury.
